  • Located amidst the snow-covered hills of Manali, the Hadimba Temple is a unique shrine dedicated to Hidimba Devi, who was the wife of Bhima and mother of Ghatothkach. Surrounded by gorgeous cedar forests, this beautiful shrine is built on a rock which is believed to be in the image of goddess Hidimba herself. The construction style of the Hidimba Devi temple is entirely different from that of any of the other temples, with its wooden doorways, walls, and cone-shaped roof. This temple is a fitting dedication to its presiding deity Hadimba. The magnificent Hidimba Devi Temple holds monumental importance to Hindu pilgrims as it is a part of the Hindu epic Mahabharata. Even apart from that, the Hadimba Temple is no less of wonder to nature lovers. Packed away into the laps of nature, this temple offers a quiet getaway to nature and peace lovers. Being quite a quaint story in itself, the Hidimba Temple is slowly but steadily attracting tourists from all over the country to its doors where history and heritage meet natural beauty.

I booked this hotel through Expedia because it had a 4-star rating, excellent reviews, and showed a location just 0.44 km from Mall Road. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and felt misleading. The overall cleanliness was unacceptable. Carpets in the room, reception, and hallways looked extremely dirty. The furniture fabric and cupboards were very dirty, baseboards were not clean, the floor had burn marks, and even the room phone had accumulated dust on it. The washroom had a strong drainage smell and the tiles were not properly cleaned. While the staff were friendly, the condition of the property is far from what anyone would expect from a 4-star hotel. The rating and reviews online do not reflect the actual condition of this place.

Hiden Gem of Manali just 10 minutes walking distance from Mall Road with ample space of Parking . When we arrived at hotel , really loved the vibe and the check in process is very smooth and we requested for the room upgradation and they upgrade our room and provide us room with balcony mountain view and we don't want roadside view so we decided to choose the backside room with balcony and I must say the room and the view from the balcony was impeccable and we enjoyed the peaceful mountain view from our balcony, the sitting from the balcony is so spacious so you can even enjoye your breakfast over there. And the room has great amenities like hairdryer , hot and cold ac, mini fridge, flat screen TV and geysers. For evening entertainment they have many things like Playing zone for kids as well as for adults , beautiful lawn and a great space for private party with great sound system, evening bonfire was a key feature 😀. The food was very delicious and must appreciate for their 24×7 open restaurant services.The staff were very courteous and helpful. Overall the stay was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay at Hill river Resort by West Western.. Will surely come again very soon....highly recommended if you are coming to manali

Our stay at Hill River Resort was excellent from start to finish. The property is located in a calm and scenic area of Manali, just a short distance from Mall Road. It’s peaceful yet convenient, which made it the perfect base for exploring the town. The room was clean, spacious, and well-furnished, with a comfortable bed and all the essentials provided. The balcony offered lovely views of the surrounding greenery, and everything in the room worked perfectly—from the climate control to the hot water. Dining with a view made the experience even better. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. We felt well taken care of the entire time.
