Blue Cottage
We enjoyed our stay very much. While there we visited Bellaire, Alden, Torch Lake, Mancelona, Central Lake, Traverse City, and Sleeping Bear Dunes. We did have a short drive to most places, but we knew that when we rented. We had all items we needed for our visit. There was more than expected. The only thing we missed were tissues, but we made do. We would have liked to seem the screened-in porch cleaned up a bit more and the outside landscape more manicured, but overall it was an excellent experience. Some of that may have been previous renters, not picking up their trash and such outside. It was great to have a washer/dryer with soap, dishwasher and large sink with soap, paper towels/napkins, dishes/silverware, beach towels and floats, extra light bulbs, small vacuum, fans (even though the air conditioner did a great job), excellent Wifi, nice TV, hairdryer, extra towels/sheets/pillows, bathroom toiletries, and so much more. The lake was very quiet and our son and dog enjoyed playing near the dock. The kayaks were definitely a hit with our family. We loved sitting on the beautiful deck in the evenings and had a bonfire one evening, overlooking the lake. They had a boat docked by the water, which was nice to use for seating while the kids enjoyed the lake. Prior to our visit, Kristen was more than helpful and the communication with her was great. We traveled with our two kids (ages 6 and 1) as well as our dog. Everyone had a great time and we would highly recommend booking this property. I’m very particular about where we stay and this was our first experience with VRBO. I’m happy to say I felt comfortable staying here, as if it was our own home. The pictures represent the property well. We didn’t use the downstairs much, except when we needed the extra bathroom or when our son wanted to try out the “outdoor” shower.
