“Absolutely recommend the sunset surf shack for a little getaway in OBX. The hosts Amber and Brett have a lovely home and were great with communication and any recommendations that you may need help with during your stay. Local to the beach and with what they offer in allowing use of the bikes for the path or if you want to take a paddle out in the bay they are very kind to offer that. Highly recommend staying again if we get the chance. Thank you again Amber and Brett for having us with you guys……

“This was a great space for my family of three for a wedding we were in town for. Our trip was too short but we would stay at this property again.”

“We had a fantastic stay! The condo was very clean and modern. We loved the decor. The whole area was very quiet (especially for peak vacation season) but centrally located to many stores and restaurants. Access to the pool was a huge benefit and during our stay the pool was never crowded. The sunset views over the sound could not be beat, we even ordered take out for dinner one evening to skip the restaurant wait and enjoy the sunset. A few things made a good stay into a great stay- great shower……

“The place was very nicely decorated and clean. The view was peaceful and the neighborhood quiet. We had a very relaxing time on our girls’ trip. The host communicated within a great timeframe and we had all the info we needed. We didn’t incur any problems while there, but if we had, I feel it would have been taken care of based upon our experience.It’s very convenient to a grocery store and mini golf. The beach is not far, but does require crossing a highway, so we wouldn’t walk. There are……

“10 stars! It was so wonderful to be nestled in this woodland retreat as the forest provided relief from the relentless Heat Wave over 4th of July (250th!) weekend. Also a peaceful escape as it sits fairly far away from the highway and retail areas. The stairs are long, but doable if you aren't carrying much. Colleen is best hostess ever! No, seriously, she IS the best out of ALL my travel stays. Sweet touches and treats everywhere. Definitely coming back here.”

“Perfect place to stay with our dog. There's even a gate separating the living and bedroom areas. Nice neighborhood as well. We were there in January, and many of the houses seemed to be occupied by owners, which probably makes it a quieter neighborhood in the summer as well.”

“Beautiful clean home, view off the balcony was breathtaking. Our stay was great. Only downfall was person on third floor who lives in the above condo is EXTREMELY loud keeps you awake all night long and starts back up at 5am. We got zero sleep!!”
