「I loved the location of the Old House - on a lovely plaza, music & food wafting through the windows, close to beach, nice spacious room. However, I stayed three nights and never saw a person from the hotel - checked myself in Friday at 4:30 and left Monday at 10 without ever seeing anyone at the front desk. No problem for me as I’m a very independent traveller, but if u need more service & staff support, something to consider.」

「We loved this hotel! The room was clean and spacious with a nice comfortable bed. Being on the fifth floor, we were very handy for the roof terrace. Breakfast and meals were plentiful and high quality. All staff were pleasant and very helpful. This hotel was aLao ideally situated for us too, right in the heart of everything and handy for the old town and all its shops and restaurants or equally handy for the beach! We will be booking to stay here again!」

「I suppose the kindest thing to say is that The Monkey Room is a "work in progress". The hotel/hostal is right in the centre of Marbella Old Town and although it sets out in adverts to be "chic" and "cool" it has a long way to go. While I was there a workman was on site preparing another cubby hole as a bedroom and I think my room was only half-finished. The nights were cold and only a single sheet covered the bed and, after moving my room to the one in the photo (instead of on the roof) I found...

「Heating insufficient and hotel did not answer my questions about that. Shower moldy and broken, we did not dare use it. Toilet unusable for a normal size person, the sink blocks you from sitting down (my wife was able to squeeze in diagonally). In general the room was in a state of disrepair and absolutely nothing like the pictures of the room we had booked. STAY AWAY」

「Well, the room is kind small but it is clean to live. Need to use shared bathroom, but it is clean. There are not too many facility in the kitchen, but it is still ok to have some simple food. And I think it located in the most beautiful of the city. Overall, it is a good place to stay with it price. : )」
