“This location is a bird watching, listening, paradise. The cabins are surrounded by lush vegetation and trees. The owner Cede is very friendly and accommodating. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious and reasonably priced. We stayed here Friday Nov. 8, 2024 and were the only guest due to the rainy season. Would love to return when it is NOT raining. The rooms were clean and spacious. A great place to stay and easy to get to with good roads. We toured the chocolate farm……

“This 2 story rental villa has a great view of Volcan Arenal from the second story. It overlooks a farm with elephant grass used for grazing animals. The location is about 2 km south of the center of La Fortuna, so a car is necessary. It is close to several of the tour outfitters that do canyoneering and rafting. It is initially hard to see on your first visit (look for the Sapiens sign on Ruta 702) because the group of 3 houses are set 70 meters south of the road and accessed via a thin 1 lane……

“We had a three day stay at Lumina Valley View Monteverde in April 2025.
The house is very spacious, modern and comfortable. It has an amazing gourmet kitchen (love the waterfall style granite countertop!) and a great view with a lovely, vibrant orange sunset. Lovely furnishings and decor. Also ample hot water, AC and strong Wifi. Note that this location is a little far out so not walkable to any amenities.
Our host Glenda, who is a native of Monteverde, was amazing. She made our stay……

“Beautiful home and property. We were cared for very well by Rod and Tanya. I’ve been to Costa Rica several times and I have never seen so many Toucans!
The only drawback was the last couple miles of road leading to the property was pretty rough.

“The property is beautifully situated, comfortable and has everything one needs for a stay. The owners live on site and are very attentive and kind but not intrusive. It was well placed for exploring the Arenal area but be aware that the road from Nuevo Arenal is extremely pot holded and the 8 km takes 35 minutes to drive.”

“This is a very unique house in a very quiet and peaceful location. We only visited for 1 night so we did not get to enjoy it as much as we could have. Small miscommunication with our booking but as we went on an evening tour, things were straightened out and all was well by the time we returned. “We loved everything about our stay here. Check in was easy. The house was clean on arrival. Was stocked with everything we may need. Everything worked well including washer and dryer. The best part was the back patio and the view (when the clouds break) along with the sounds of nature. Loved the location. Definitely need a car if staying here but a short 5-10 minute drive and you are in the heart of La Fortuna. I would definitely stay here again!”
