“Warm welcome, enjoyed delicious breakfast and nice chat with owners each morning. Facilities in good condition and well maintained. Decorated intentionally making guests a home stay feel. Near bus stop and promenade, also walkable distance to main streets and dock. To nitpick, there’s creaky sound walking on the wooden floor.”

“I recently had a wonderful stay at Athol Park Guest House, and I wanted to share my experience: 1. The location is fantastic, situated in a peaceful area just a short walk from the beach. 2. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. 3. Breakfast provided a reasonable selection of choices. 4.My single room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all necessary amenities. I highly recommend this guest house!”

“The room is clean and tidy. The breakfast is good with different options. The hotel is a little bit far from the ferry pier, it takes about 25 mins to walk there. If you have luggage, you'd better call a taxi, the taxi fare is reasonable anyway. ”

“The host couldn't have done more for us. The Melrose is convenient for the shops although there was a short uphill walk to get back. The room although compact was clean, the bedding was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good, cereal, orange juice, Tea or coffee and a full english and there was also the offer of Manx kippers if you wanted them.. There are a lot of stairs up to the rooms but that is typical of the B&Bs in Douglas. If I have one slight criticism it's that……

“The guest house was in a good location just off the promenade. Room was spotless and in very good condition. Bed was very comfortable and made daily. Room was well appointed. Breakfast each morning was high quality and everything was freshly made. Dora the proprietor was very attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble if needed some assistance. I would definitely stay there again if in Douglas and would recommend to family and friends. ”
