This is the Athenaeum Hotel on the grounds of the Chautauqua Institute, a wonderful community along the lake when visitors can enjoy programs, classes and community events. It is a non profit education center and summer resort in southwestern New York. Outside visitors are welcome at the site and there are numerous places to stay outside of the community. Worth a visit.

“What a perfect vacation! The house was beautiful and perfectly equipped. We had everything we needed, and more. The bathroom extras (feminine products, toothbrushes, razors, etc.) were a really nice touch. The beds were very comfortable, and the kids really enjoyed the hot tub. Our host was super nice and very responsive. We really could not have asked for an easier experience with booking, checking in and checking out. Everything was beyond expectations. “We had out engagement party at the property and it was absolutely beautiful! Everything was set up very well when we arrived. The pool was crystal clear and the kids loved swimming in it. It was also safety gated so we didn't have to worry about the kids getting into the pool without an adult knowing. The kitchen set up was great as well!
