Amazing property and location

This home was much nicer and roomier than we expected. The views are spectacular. From google maps, I thought the 101 would be bothersome, but the home sits up high on a hill and you can barely see or hear the 101. But you can hear the ocean waves, which was very nice. There is a sunken area in the backyard that is nice to sit in when it is windy outside, as it is protected from the wind. Our family had a great stay at this property and highly recommend it to anyone that wants to explore this area, including the Redwoods National Park.

Peaceful

Absolutely loved this place! The view was amazing. The beds were sooo comfy! Everything we needed was available. The only thing I could say towards the bad would be the neighbor dog doesnt like it when there is company. He is not afraid to use his voice. We did not mind it but others may.thissaysaytowards the negative

Great house with Amazing View

This was a great house for our family of 5. We enjoyed staying here to see the Redwoods. The house was smaller than expected but the view of the ocean made up for its size. Although the house and neighborhood were older, the house was very clean and well-kept.

The view from the house is just amazing! The house was so clean and beautiful. It’s such a peaceful location! The beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed and more. I will definitely book this place again in the future.

Great views!

It was a very relaxing stay. The great views and hot tub was a big hit with the family. Decking railing needs a little TLC and kitchen counters and cabinets could use a make over but overall a very nice place and we would return if in the area again!

We had a great trip and the house was in good order had everything we need and treats to go with it. I had a lovely walk to the beach each morning and the hot Tub was very nice in the evening. The views were wonderful.

Reviewer Comments: We had a great 6 days, best part of the house is the unobstructed 180 degree view of Clam beach and the ocean, and you can see the rocks and light house at Trinidad. House is clean but kitchen could be stocked a little better (silverware). Nice touch with the fresh cookies and coffee that was left for us. Bathrooms are nice and clean, beds were okay. Parking is tight for 2 cars, not P/U trucks

Clam Beach House Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at the house each day we returned from fishing off the coast. The BBQ worked great and the beds were comfortable. We were not aware that the house hovered right over Highway 1 where you could hear some road noise but it wasn't too distracting. The picture on the website makes it look like it's right up close to the dunes. One other suggestion, the dining room table should be longer to accommodate 6 people since there are three bedrooms.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a beautiful spot and very nice overall. The beds were very comfortable. The property does allow dogs, and I was a bit put off by the "surprise" list of rules pertaining to pets that is framed upon the piano, mostly because almost none of this was mentioned prior to our arrival. Bit of a rude surprise really. When we travel he always take our dog's kennel which he does happily into when we may not be around.

Amazing views and plenty of adventure!

I made the booking for my parents so I am summarizing what they said. They absolutely loved the place, especially the views and the awesome layout of the house. Plenty of windows with ocean views, the hot tub is the cherry on top. They loved the endless smooth beach area that they were able to walk on and the ease of the whole process. They even asked me to extend their stay by an extra night because of how much they enjoyed their stay. On my end (their son), I was tasked with communicating with the owner of the place and she was incredibly helpful and super responsive. She made this whole process smooth and easy. She was a great communicator and a very nice person to deal with. I would highly recommend this place for the ease of communication and my parents recommend it for the incredible views and experience.

Agree that it’s extremely overpriced- but beautiful view

Agree with other renters that this house is extremely overpriced for what you get. Nothing is updated, there is a mildew smell and the bathrooms/ bedrooms leave a lot to be desired. BUT the view is amazing. The property’s location/ proximity to beaches, Arcata, Trinidad is great. I was surprised that the property contact person lived RIGHT NEXT DOOR in the garage. The persons dogs did bark a lot. But other then that we had no interactions with them. There’s also an old tv with no internet access to use Netflix etc. which is handy when you’re traveling with kids. Love the view of this house, but wouldn’t stay here again unless it was “updated” (general maintenance done).

Awesome view, but.....

The view is just as pictured, beautiful. The house is cute and decorated nicely. And that is where it ends. The property manager (and I believe owner), lives onsite in the remodeled garage. Not a problem for us. She was friendly and helpful. The upstairs bedroom smelled funky. All of the downstairs smelled of a mildew and moldy basement. We even tried to air it out during the day. That made it tolerable to sleep in at night. The house is tidy, but not to the clean I am used to. Blinds had dead bugs in them, window tracks were dirty as well as the shower tracks. Many things were very worn. Maybe they are doing updating slowly?. Very disappointing.
