Great Place To Stay!
We were very comfortable and couldn't be happier about the location. Had access to the lake across the road and only a few minute drive to the Dunes! The host was extremely attentive. Everything was as advertised.

Great place for larger groups.

Nice Place!
Great place for a larger group of people. Super close to town, sand dunes, and beach. Owner was very responsive and kind enough to let us stay a few hours longer on our day of check out. We would stay here again.

Better than expected
**there was even a few bundles of firewood** Tim was very polite and prompt. The home was very clean. Check in and out we’re a breeze. The place is nice as well as the location. But the owner Tim. Has a proper sense of customer service. We didn’t speak much. Which I like it when the owners aren’t intrusive. But he was prompt when I did need something. I didn’t know it was included and we didn’t use them. But he even included a few bundles of firewood free of charge. Would definitely recommend

Perfect Lake location
My self and my husband and my daughter’s family went to Silver Lake for a summer trip. Altogether there were 10 of us. The house was perfect for our needs and the location was super! The front deck was amazing

Perfect location and setup.
Super easy to check in, plenty of room for our family to spread out and unwind between adventures on the dunes and lake. It was awesome to have such a huge open kitchen and living room area to visit and make meals. Everything was spotless and well appointed for our family. This will be the first place we check for availability when we are ready to come back up that way. Thank you!

Great place and location

Family Friendly off the water
The home was nice clean and spacious plenty of beds to sleep in. Off the water loved the large deck in had a barbecue pit. And a fire pit we raoseted marshmallows by the fire was a perfect vacation home for a family or just friend without children

The property was perfect to host my 6year old daughters birthday. The house had plenty of room and tons of sleeping spaces it was very clean and the property had an amazing view. Would highly reccomend.

Great Location
The house was a great location for my family and I to stay in for a wedding at Golden Sands Golf Course. It was also super close to food and stores, the day access for Silver Lake, as well as the cute winery, Fox Barn Winery.

Great Time
This is the second year staying at this property. What I appreciate most is the quick response time and friendliness of Tim the owner. We also enjoy the large private back yard that we can play yard games, and enjoy the fire pit. The only thing I wish they would do is supply more paper products. Thank you Tim for the wonderful vacation spot for our family.

Great Again!
This is our 2nd year staying at this home. Tim is great with communicating and the house is great. Even after having some long term tenants stay, and they didn't leave the home so cleanly- he worked hard to get it into shape for us. We appreciate his deep cleaning. The upstairs porch is our favorite at this home as it is a great outdoor space to see the lake. Until next year!

A nice large rental well suited for a decent sized group
I rented this property in late august for a family and friends getaway - we had 4 people staying for the whole 3 days, and we had two additional guests say overnight one of the days. The property is split into two levels, with a "basement" near level to the ground, and what I would consider the main living room as a second floor of sorts, which walks out to a large deck overlooking the lake with quite the view. There was plenty of space for my whole party to be comfortable and mill around when we weren't out enjoying what Mears/Silver Lake had to offer in entertainment. Check in was a breeze and was all hands off - the access is digital, so Tom sent us the credentials and we were all set for our stay. The kitchen is pretty sizable with plenty of countertop space, and while there was a large glass table inside for dining, we always opted to eat out on the deck with its table and four chairs. We also took advantage of the charcoal grill as well. As for gripes, we couldn't find a grill brush to clean off the grill after cooking as specifically requested, however our guidebook didn't say it was provided either, so it wasn't a big deal in the end. The beds were a bit stiff but doable for short trips. some pieces of furniture were a bit worn but worked well enough. I was pleasantly surprised that the water didn't taste like the well - as a city dweller, this was greatly appreciated. The weather for our stay was very pleasant, however there were 3 sizable AC units located throughout the property that appeared to do both heating and cooling if the weather were less than ideal. We also happened to cross paths with Tim casually, as he was tending to another nearby rental he manages. He was very hospitable and receptive to a small issue we didn't quite know we had to the entry door, but he straightened it out right away as well. Overall I'd stay at this property or any one of Tim's property's again if I had the need in the future. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

Large property
Very clean, large house with big backyard and firepit. Absolutely love the huge deck that overlooks the lake. Beds are uncomfortably hard but everything else was nice. Place is outdated but functional. Who needs a fancy house when you’re going to the beaches and off roading all day anyway. Recommend this place.

Great Getaway
We had a great weekend away with 2 families renting this house. Close to all the fun but located on this quiet little stretch of the lake. The adults sat on the porch watching the stars at night. Well maintained property with very kind and nice owners.

Girl Scout experience
We rented this property for our Girl Scout end of the year trip. The house was clean and fully equipped with more than enough room to accomodate our group. It was close to everything for convenient travel, yet nestled in a quiet neighborhood. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks Tim for helping make our weekend a success!

Great space for the 9 of us, seven adults,two children. Plenty of room to relax and close enough to all the excitement of the Silver Lake Dune area to enjoy. Fire pit was great in the evenings, kitchen was well stocked. We will definitely come back.

Enjoying the Silver Lake Dunes
During our trip to Michigan, we stayed at the HOPE vacation home and it had all the room we needed. There were 5 traveling (2 adults, 2 young adults, and 1 teenager) and we were very comfortable in the house. Everything was clean and neat when we arrived. We ate on the deck and watched movies in the evening. The location of the house with a nice view of Upper Silver Lake is relaxing. It was nice enough to do some grilling after running on the Dunes. Since it was cool and rainy when we arrived (June 18, 2019), the dunes weren't too busy yet. The conditions were perfect for the Dune Buggy. We also enjoyed sunset at Silver Lake Park/Lighthouse - very nice! We would definitely stay at HOPE again if we're in the area. We may try to have a Family Reunion at the Dunes and having everyone right nearby would be nice (using Tim's other two rentals (near)next door).

Beautiful Property!
This home was great for our group of 9. Many beds, bedrooms and 2 full baths was great. We come out for the Silverlake Sand Dunes every year and always have a problem finding a property with good parking. My brother drives a monster truck which he pulls on a gooseneck trailer behind a diesel crew cab...and this trailer and entire other rig of similar length fit in the driveway! You have to know how to drive, but we also got a few motorcycles and another jeep and small enclosed trailer parked. Loved the home and especially the patio above the garage. We plan to definitely keep this property in mind for future plans. Thanks so much for everything!

Family Friendly Close to Everything
Everything you need for a stay in Western Michigan. Fully stocked kitchen, plenty of beds, rooms, the front deck is patio amazing with a great view and the back yard with the fire pit is relaxing. I would definitely recommend this place!!!

Memorial Day weekend trip!
The place was awesome and SUPER clean! My family and I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend. We brought three trucks and a trailer with an ORV and had no problem with parking! The house has a great deck, fire pit in backyard, and grill! Beds were super comfy. Host was very responsive to any questions!! Great place overall! Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed the stay!
We visited for the Labor Day holiday for 4 nights. We enjoyed the deck, the kitchen, all the living space, the place is huge. The beds were all very comfortable with plenty of pillows, coverings etc provided. The kitchen was greatly accommodating. The reason for a 4 star and not a 5, were two minor problems we encountered. One was the TV service provided was very poor and there was only one TV in the large home, and secondly the heavy rain knocked out the water pump power several times for hours, there's always room for improvement and this would be the only improvements we saw hadn't been taken care of yet. Otherwise, you could see the owner had put some great time and effort in updating and supplying the needs of comfort. We would highly recommend this place for any large party and children but do note two of the beds are downstairs in the finished basement area so there are stairs. Also, the owner was more than accommodating, friendly and helpful.

Nice house and a great location!
We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at Hope! Tons of space for our group of 8. Amazing deck with fabulous lake view. Enjoyed having my morning coffee on the deck and we ate most of our meals there. Lake access right across the street. Quick drive into town or to the dunes. Beds were comfortable and the house was clean. The rocking chair was a plus, since we had our 1 year old with us. Only 2 downsides that I can think of. Mainly the stairs, you can’t get into the house without going up stairs of some kind. This made unloading and packing a little tricky. Also makes things interesting if you have small kids. I knew this would be an issue beforehand though and did bring a baby gate. Also, there was no drain plug for the downstairs tub, which made giving the kids a bath a little tricky. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We met the owner and he was nice. Would definitely rent again.

Excellent vacation home for family groups.
We enjoyed staying here very much. It felt like home and had everything we needed for our stay. Very clean and comfortable. We really appreciated the air conditioners on the really hot day and night. We highly recommend this property as a vacation home for family groups. My only recommendation is to add some reflective tape to the small step up to the porch by the sliding glass door. We all forgot it at least once. No one was hurt but it was startling.

Excellent Stay with a Gorgeous View
Our stay at the HOPE house was great! There was plenty of room for my family of 4, in-laws and my parents. Since the rooms were split between the 2 levels, we were able to keep the kids downstairs for some quiet time so the adults could carry on their day upstairs. The closet area in the downstairs bedroom was perfect to set up my daughter's pack-n-play. The beds were comfortable as well as the pillows. Both bathrooms had adequate space, too. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals. We used the fire pit outside twice during our stay and it was a relief to see there were folding chairs we could use. We travelled from Texas and chairs weren't on our packing list! The view from the deck overlooks Upper Silver Lake and it was nice sitting out there in the mornings before the kids woke up. The location of the home itself was convenient to stay out of the busyness closer to Silver Lake. The neighborhood was pretty quiet. We were a bit worried about the weather since it had been hotter than normal but the house was very comfortable with the portable A/C units running occasionally. It happened to be over 100 degrees back home so we took advantage of the "cooler" weather for us. I grew up visiting Silver Lake with my family and hadn't stayed on Upper Silver Lake before. I will definitely look at this property for our future visits. Thank you, Tim!

Clean place with what we needed
Really liked the deck for breakfast and dinner out side protected from sun and rain. Place was well taken care of. Only concern, had to wash sheets at end. Good value and location for height of season in Silver Lake area. Most fun was Mac Woods Dune ride!

Horrible Host, Good Property
We have been using rented properties for years, all over the world. This is the first time ever I had to deal with such rigid, unfriendly host. Beware of the security deposit. He will try to get as much as he can out of it. On the other hand, property is good and at good location.

We also have a check-out time to give our cleaners adequate time to have the house cleaned for the next renters. That is the reason for a late check-out fee. Wonderful Place to Stay
