「Nice village hotel and our check in and room were good on the face of it. Other than the guy who checked us in, staff was generally rude. We had booked for breakfast at 08:00 on the first morning, and having travelled the previous day from Asia ended up waking earlier and found ourselves waiting in the breakfast room around 7:10, hoping to be able to request breakfast at 7:30 when it opened. We were greeted by a man in a hurry, brusquely telling us over his shoulder whilst rushing around doing...

「A good overnight stop on our journey to the south coast! Very friendly staff in the bar welcomed us, and were extremely helpful. Nicely decorated and spacious rooms. A good choice of decent meals on the bar menu available in the pub, so convenient not having to dine elsewhere. Excellent value, and both the evening and morning staff were great. Yes, a bit of road noise, and extractor noise heard in our 2 rooms, but we are used to silent nights living in a rural location!」

「The food was really good, especially the breakfast but that was the only positive. The room that I was allocated ( room 6) looked good if dated, with lots of sockets but no USB charging points, it had a huge bed which was too soft for me but would suit others and that’s when it went down hill. There was a noise every 30 seconds or so like the room above me was flushing its toilets. I thought it would eventually stop but no. In the end I asked for a change of room and was asked if I had touched...
