“The main qualm we had with the property was the location. We were inside a market and as three women, we were constantly harassed on our way in to the riad. The ride pickups also required us to walk through the market to the main square each time, so the harassment really took a toll. The property itself had some nice staff, but we saw the difference in how we were welcomed and how another family was welcomed. They were given tea, snacks, a tour while ours was just helping us with our bags to……

“I am so glad we chose Dar les Cigognes for our four night stay in Marakech. We loved everything about it. The riad itself is so beautiful; peaceful, restful and cool. The roof terasse is a wonderful place to relax and take coffee and meals. The rooms are very well equipped with lovely big, comfy beds. The locationis perfect, just outside the city walls, with every attraction within easy walking distance. Special mention goes to the staff:Hayst, the Manager, and Hajiba the Concierge are so warm……

“Beautiful room, excellent pools, really lovely environment. Staff very smiley, polite and helpful. Almost faultless. They arranged taxis as needed. Spa was also wonderful. However….. Bottle of water 1L cost £6-7, air con hugely noisy, bed very uncomfortable, staff v e r y s l o w to serve drinks / food once ordered. It’s a new set-up so I have no doubt it will improve.”

“Clean room, shower head not great tilts to side. Room clean. Building amazing. Location perfect but 2 min walk down alley way. Amazing staff and deco. Definitely will book again. Breakfast was okay not the best and kitchen staff food/drinks are worth it.”
