Excellent Stay

There were 9 of us so we rented both cabins. What a perfect setup. No matter the weather there are plenty of things to do both inside and out. Quiet and tranquil location set in the quaint little town of Mentone. We will definitely consider this location for future trips.

Fantastic Relaxing Getaway

We stayed at Owl Perch and Eagles Nest and enjoyed relaxing living quarters, comfortable porches and excellent fishing for our party of twelve. There was more than enough room for the 6 children and 6 adults to stretch out and rest. Both houses were immaculately clean, with fun art to enjoy, gorgeous stained glass, and lots of games and books to enjoy. Everyone even had access to WiFi, so our tech needs were met for the online gamers and those who needed to work (a little) in our group! Both kitchens were well equipped with plenty of baking pans, pots and small appliances for cooking and the charcoal grill was easy to clean and use. We loved every minute of it! We would love to come back to this house as a group some time very soon! Thank you for sharing this oasis with us!

Wonderful youth retreat getaway

Our group had a great time at Eagles Rest and Owls Perch. We had fun making meals together in the fully stocked kitchens and having a movie night and fellowship in the living room area at Eagles Rest. The kids enjoyed the foosball table and pool table. We all enjoyed the lake with the kayak and canoe. Both cabins were connected by the back porch which made it convenient to have both groups close enough but have individual space as well. We could have used more necessities like trash bags, toilet paper, and a few more shower towels. But we made a quick trip down to family dollar (12 mins) and got what we needed. Overall it was a wonderful trip and we plan to visit again in the future. Thank you!

Peaceful & fun-filled

We absolutely loved our stay at Eagle’s Rest and Owl’s Perch. Our family of 10 fit comfortably with room to spare. The children had a blast playing in the lake and with the copious number of toys and books. The cabin is exactly as pictured, rustic and cozy, like something out of a Hallmark movie. My only suggestion would be a kitchen refresh, as many of the pots and pans are past their prime. We’ll be back! Thank you for sharing your property with us!

Camp drop-off made easy with 8 adults and 7 kids

The properties were cozy and well suited for our big group. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the lake with the kids and close friends. Highly recommend these accommodations while visiting the great town of Mentone!

Great Family Getaway!!!

Great place!!!.... The Eagles Rest And Owl's Perch Combo is the picture perfect cabins by the lake. It worked great for our large group including the dogs. Would definitely recommend the cabins to someone.

Excellent Get Away Place!

A group of church friends came together for a weekend retreat, and this was an excellent atmosphere. We had a wonderful weekend of cooking, eating, Bible study, games, and laughter. These cabins were so comfortable and had everything we needed for a great weekend together. It was a stormy, rainy weekend and we were warm and very comfortable in these great cabins!

Fantastic family gathering place

We rented both cabins for a family get together. Plenty of space and very comfortable. Lots of options to be together including two screened porches. The kitchens are well equipped and there are plenty of thirsty towels in the bathrooms. We used the paddle boards and the other water equipment for some water fun most days. We went on several hikes in the area to see some waterfalls and do some swimming. The Hatter Cafe is a great spot for breakfast. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway. Hosts are very responsive if you need them.

Amazing house for a big group!

We had a group of 14 in town for a wedding in mentone. This set up was so ideal, plenty of space for multiple couples and singles to sleep comfortably. The property is beautiful and only 8 minutes from mentone market and other mentone attractions! Highly recommend staying at this property!

Perfect for large family!

Our family of 16 rented both cabins for the weekend. The cabins are located in a quiet peaceful area with peaceful views. The rain kept us from hanging out at the lake or the fire pits, but there was plenty of playing pool, air hockey, card games, as well as creating a few puzzles. We utilized the well stocked kitchen and enjoyed a great meal together. It was a weekend full of family time, reminiscing, and making new memories.

Friends Weekend Trip

My friends and I had been discussing just such a trip for about a year. We were finally able to pull it off this November weekend. The house is exceptional in all aspects and covered all of our general needs in fine fashion. But it was the setting itself that made the weekend so memorable. Leaves changing, cool temperatures, cloudless skies, the wonderful house and all it offers and the addition of friends rarely seen made it as fun and relaxing and peaceful a time as had in quite a while. Peaceful Retreat

Womens Retreat was a great success! We rented both cabins and filled them up. It was beautiful and peaceful with a great lake view walking trail and fire pits. Good group space

We come to Mentone once a year for a dance weekend and have had various experiences with renting houses/cabins. This was one of the best places we've stayed. The common area between the 2 houses proved a great place to hang out. We cooked a lot, did a little paddling and enjoyed being together. Nice spot for a large group

An amazingly beautiful 2 cabin set up!

Surrounded by trees, these 2 cabins sit back from a quiet and peaceful lake (Eagle Lake). We stayed in both cabins because we are a large family and there were plenty of sleeping areas and blankets for everyone to be warm and cozy at night. We grilled at night or cooked in the fully stocked kitchens. We made s’mores at night by the fire pit and talked with each other into the wee hours of night. During the day we canoed, kayaked and cruised the lake in the paddle boat, visited Desoto Park and Little River Canyon for hikes and visiting waterfalls. We had 1 stormy day and we played games and laughed all day and napped to the sound of rain on the metal roof. These cabins are decorated with pieces from local artists and are designed to perfectly compliment each other with a shared common area. The had plenty of books to read, puzzles and games. We loved our stay here. Any questions or concerns were addressed by the owner quickly and Holly was so nice to us. We hope to visit again next year!

Great rental for family & friends

Set up for both Eagle's Rest and Owl Perch are nice for large gatherings. Enough room inside and outside so you are not on top of each other. Both beautifully decorated and both very well stocked kitchens. Will be booking a summer trip soon!
