The main disappointment was that the listing didn't include all taxes, but rather before check-in, we had to pay an extra 10 Euros for a tax that was not included in the price. Another slight inconvenience is that after registering with Expedia, one had to complete a new registration with Camelotels."

"The location in terms of proximity to the tourist sites was great as it was easily walkable. It was lovely in terms of being all newly renovated. We were on the top floor attic which means lack of headspace when standing up and the steep curving stairs were tricky for seniors. Also, the wifi information was not clearly communicated via the check in info or on site."

"1898 The Post is a beautifully restored 19th-century post office, perfectly located in the heart of Ghent’s historic old town. From the moment we arrived, Amy made us feel genuinely welcome, providing a warm introduction to the hotel, a helpful orientation to our room, and excellent recommendations to make the most of our short stay. Our room was elegant and comfortable, and while the bed was a little narrower than we would have preferred, we still enjoyed a good night’s sleep. What truly made this hotel memorable, however, was the outstanding service. Every member of the team was friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring guests had a wonderful experience. A charming heritage hotel in an unbeatable location, made even better by hospitality. Highly recommended."
