I booked the apartment and received a confirmation through the platform. On the way to the apartment the manager informed me due to a "double booking" the room isn't available anymore. This happened to me before in Mérida. It seems people offer the rooms for profit on different platforms.

El lugar es muy cómodo, te ponen cafetera azúcar tienes platos, sartén la cocina está equipada. Lo que no me gusto es que nadie realiza limpieza debes pagar extra para ello.

Von außen doch eher unscheinbar, offenbart sich gerade ein halbes Wunder beim betreten des Appartements. Meine Ankunft in Mérida sah wie folgt aus. Etwa fünf Stunden mit dem Auto durch Yucatan, der großen Calle 59 folgend bis zu meinem Ziel. Ich klingelte und eine doch sehr sympathische Frau öffnete mir die Wohnung. Schon von Sekunde eins war eine vertraute Stimmung vorhanden. Die Besitzer sind sehr gastfreundlich und kommunikativ, ich habe drei Tage in Mérida verbracht, aber genügend Tipps und Informationen bekommen, um dort mehrere Tage die Stadt und ihr Umland zu erkunden. Als ich mein Apartment betreten hatte hörte ich die leise aber doch effektive Klimaanlage rauschen, zu Verfügung steht eine komplette Küche für zwei Personen ausgelegt, also ideal für Paare. Das Bett bietet einen großen Komfort, da ich nicht gerade klein bin mit 1,95 Metern war dies eine willkommene Abwechslung. Auch überrascht hat mich die Dusche, das Bad im ganzen war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Vom Appartement aus geht es über die Calle 59 geradewegs in die Innenstadt, welche doch abends sehr belebt und sich sicher anfühlt. Gerade am Wochenende kann man dort viel erleben und ein kleiner Spaziergang ab 18 Uhr in nahe Lokale und Restaurants bieten die perfekte Möglichkeit Mérida zu erkunden. Ich persönlich werde wieder diese Apartments buchen, sollte ich wieder nach Yucatan reisen. Ich habe mich sehr gut mit den Besitzern verstanden und abends auch mal was zusammen getrunken.

Very comfortable stay. Excellent air conditioning. Even though no windows in suite, lots of light from skylights. Local market and grocery store less than 2 blocks away. Bakery across the street. Turkey, chicken and pork roasters nearby for easy, make at home, meals. Hosts Ismail and Rose were very helpful and accommodating. Easy 20 min walk to city centre or 35 peso Uber ride. Streets in the area we're a bit rough, but this was typical in much of the city. Always felt safe walking around the area and local residents were friendly.

Excellent service, very clean and confortable room. My only comment is regarding the noise in one of the units. I’m sensible to noise and the one room that faces the street has no way to block it from a pretty busy street. Fortunately, they were able to put me one night in another room and I slept like a baby. Also, the area is not the best, I didn’t feel like taking a walk. Very nice and accommodating people though.

The hosts, Ishmael and Rosie, were awesome. Spoke fluent English and were very helpful with directions and suggestions for touring in the area. They also made us a traditional meal on the Friday night, shared by all the guests in their home.

Very nice and clean, recently renovated apartment!

This was one of my best stays in Mexico, and I am pretty sure that it will be same with you. Very clean, spacious with kitchen, and friendly hosts. The only tricky part is checking in. See the black iron below in attached picture? Left door is can be pulled open, need a little bit of strength. You'd better make an check in appointment with whatsapp or e-mail to make it sure, although the hosts live in the apartment, too.

In a quiet part of town, about 15 minute walk to downtown .Very pleasant apartments (only 3) friendly owner. Nice little garden behind. I got a car & driver for a day - they will take you anywhere you like..
