"This hotel needs also some Tender Love: the first room they gave us had a mattress that looked like an elephant had just got up from there. Bathroom really outdated. They then transferred us in another triple room: I do not think this room is ok to host more than 2 people. It felt crammed, and in case of fire, I believe we would not have made it out. My friend said: it looks like a hospital room.. Well, when my son video called and I showed him the room he said: wow, it looks like a orphanage room... :-( Also, we were not informed that if we wanted to use the beach (private beach it said), we needed to pay.. OMG! What a rip off.. On a good note, the restaurant food was outstanding.. "

"Not sure how this is even classed as a 4*. Rooms closer to a barrack.. doesn’t have shampoo and hair conditioner or body wash so bring your own as they only have a weird water-activated hand soap. When we asked for an ironing board we were told they don’t have any for guests and would only accept dropping our clothes off so long as not linen, with turnaround of 3-4 days… Beds also not comfortable and dirty without a proper cover, only a sheet. Food was rubbish / prison food and depressing, we drove out every day to much nicer areas in Sicily. We learned upon checking in all inclusive does not mean everything is inclusive, still have to top up a voi card for drinks like an aperol spritz or negroni. Did not use amenities a lot as was here for another function, however it seemed the default answer for all hotel staff is no. We were told we needed an animator to allow us to play tennis even though we had brought all of our tennis kit. Felt like a daycare and finally argued through that we can go without an animator, who were constantly on break and inaccessible anyway. Would gladly avoid this place at all costs if you can. A true hell scape, unless you’re into mass produced all inclusive type of experience (which again is not really all inclusive) "

"Beautiful property in lovely surroundings. The house was equipped with everything needed and the log burner was an unexpected and welcomed surprise as we had a couple of stormy days so we were able to snuggle in front of it. Information from the owner on local eateries and places to visit was extremely useful and his directions to locate the house were invaluable. Overall a great stay the only disappointment was that we expected to have total privacy at the house, however a relative of the owner arrived the same day as ourselves and explained that he would be staying in the adjoining building for the next 3 months. A very nice and friendly gentleman but we were looking forward to our own company for the week."
