I stayed one night at the Chesterfield Hotel in Miami before leaving for a cruise. When I arrived, Katie at the front desk was very kind and helpful, and Carlos was also professional and understanding. Unfortunately, the room we were first placed in was clearly not properly cleaned. The bed linens were wrinkled, the pillows had brown smudges, glitter, and hair that clearly wasn’t mine, and the dresser had rings from cups and food crumbs that looked like leftover chicken or fish. Katie helped move us to another room, but it still made me question the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The next morning I asked the front desk receptionist, Rocio, if I could have 15–30 extra minutes past checkout, especially considering the condition of the first room. While I was trying to briefly explain the situation from the night before, Rocio told me to stop talking and walked away from the desk for an extended period of time. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, especially since I was simply trying to explain what had happened during my stay. She still refused the extra time, even though it was a small request. When I later spoke with Carlos, he was understanding and even agreed that the request should have been honored. The only real positive is the location… the beach is about a 4-minute walk away. Other than that, the cleanliness and service issues made this a disappointing stay. I would not choose to stay here again.

Pictures are not what the rooms look like IN PERSON!! When we arrived, we were surprised and caught off guard by how different it looked like from the online pictures. Our room was very dark and old. Room itself was a little raggedy. It was cold in Miami. Room temperature was set to 90 degrees. Room never got above 54 degrees. Had maintenance, come in just to say that the heat doesn't work.Was offered extra blankets that we didn't receive until hour later which we had to recall again for. Happy to talk to other patrons which had the same problem. Wasn't offered a discounted rate or anything. I will never ever stay at this establishment again. Obviously this establishment doesn't keep up on there maintenance. I have never been to a hotel room where you couldn't adjust the temperature of the room.

Booked a 2 queen bed jr suite, was put in a tiny room with 2 full beds, showed and explained the person who checked me in and was told no, those are queens! room was 501 in the 3rd building past the front desk. Worst shower ever, took 10 min before the water would heat up then to get it to a comfortable temperature was almost impossible to mix since it took so long to travel. A ondemand heater would do wonders and cost pennies. Also put us in a room next to the street on street level so good luck getting any sleep! The staff was nice the location great but the room and the lies about it was unacceptable.
