I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at the hotel. First and foremost, the toilet was not properly cleaned, which is a fundamental hygiene issue for any accommodation. Furthermore, the bathroom design was highly impractical. I cannot comprehend why a bathtub was placed in a corner outside the bathroom. This not only felt awkward but also significantly reduced the usable space in the bathroom. Additionally, the sink was too small, leaving inadequate room for our toiletries. The soundproofing was poor; noises from the hallway were clearly audible in the room. Most intrusive of all, hotel staff entered my room without knocking before the check-out time, which was a significant invasion of my privacy.

Not one to write reviews but feel compelled to. I have never been so disappointed or booked a hotel that was so far out of line than what I expected. The photos were very misleading. Closest elevator when you arrive (and for the room we were given) was “under renovation” and unavailable to use. Made getting to our room more of an inconvenience and longer due to where other elevator was. I wish I could explain it better, but I heard others being annoyed about same issue. Room smelled like mildew soon as we walked through the door. The door had a hard time closing and would take seconds to really shut unless you grabbed the door yourself, which worried us because it was only my friend and I so we had to be extra cautious cause it did not feel secure. AC was making noise, maintenance said “it does that when it is loose you just need to push it” and hit the AC a few times.. did not stop. Mind you, he was in the room in the first place cause I was showering and water was not draining at all, it was overflowing so much my friend could not shower, had to wait due to potential overflowing onto floor and waiting for maintenance man to arrive to fix. Felt front desk already knew this problem, before I even finish what I was telling him what was going on in the bathroom he guessed the shower was not draining, and was right. Water took over 5min to start changing temp. Room wasn’t clean. Sand all over floor, blood on the curtains. Staff was friendly but not attentive/accomodating.

The hotel is run down. My room was super smelly and musty. I reached out to the management and it was not addressed unfortunately. The only good thing about the hotel is the restaurant and close proximity to the beach. Cleaning wasn’t done properly. I’ve found lollipop on my bed sheets and a used vision lenses on the floor, which was gross.. Basically you’re paying the price.. If you want a decent stay, book somewhere else in the area.

We stayed a few hotels down at the Sherry Frontenac during the start of the trip and had such an awful experience that we ended up switching to this in the middle of our trip. It was our saving grace! Very clean and great staff. The restaurant is excellent!

Queen bed’s comfortable, good air conditioning in room, but overall condition of room/bathroom is really run down. Rust, peeling paint, broken elevator etc. I would not rate it “excellent” as I booked it based on those reviews. The pool was freezing, warmer in the ocean. Great location.

Very quaint boutique hotel with a nice beach and wonderful restaurant for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was on the roof top with amazing views, (although breakfast food could use a bit of improvement.). Staff throughout the property are great. Overall I was surprised how much I enjoyed my stay !

Great location and wonderful staff. Property is very clean and well maintained. Oddly seems clothes were damp at times, but could be a result of them placed near air conditioner. Close to restaurant's and grocery stores. Parking and resort fees are excessive, but typically I dont like paying fees that should be part of a per night fee anyway. I would recommend this hotel if you prefer lodging that is not a chain hotel

A hidden gem right on the beach. The beach towels were a bit of hassle, but the staff was good. We enjoyed our stay.

Stayed there for 5 nights and unfortunately got stuck on a 3rd floor unit facing the garage next door. We asked for a better view since we were staying and paying for 5 full nights and were ignored. The rest of the ancillary staff was very helpful including the bar and restaurant personnel… It came recommended because of the nearby shopping area, but the hotel is relatively small with small rooms and bad views all around. Beach area was above average but the pool is very small despite the fact that hardly anyone used it throughout our 5 days! The pillows were abysmal and there’s hardly any storage space. We literally lived out of our suit cases and had to call the front desk multiple times just to get 2 extra bath towels. Location on Collins Avenue is easy on easy off, but I don’t think we will be staying there in the future.
