Independent Mid Beach hotels

"Hi. We have always wanted to stay at fountain blu hotel… it was on our bucket list. We finally made it since it was my husbands 65 th birthday. Our stay wasn’t too impressive since our room was next to a utility room and the ac motors were very loud. We didn’t realize how very loud it was till we were trying to get to sleep . The loud noise kept us up all night…. Besides that our pillow cases had red lipstick or blood stains on it. I called for new pillow cases and they gave us fresh ones. Alittle disappointed So all in all the hotel stay was just an ok experience. We ate at the Italian rest and that was good. "

"A maintenance crew was working right outside my window during the night and well past 1am. They were welding and hammering metal sheets and talking loudly. I called the property manager 5 times and they kept saying that they cannot ask the crew to stop working even though it was almost 1am. When I tried speaking to the crew they said I should speak to the property manager. The work wouldn’t stop and I was only given the option to change rooms at 1am. I do NOT recommend that anyone stay at this property. They do not care about their guests. "

"Nice staff- a bit worn/outdated. A lot of the spa amenities (sauna/steam) were closed due to being broken- we stayed and paid more at Nobu vs ER for the spa privileges and they closed earlier than posted. Did not get any Expedia platinum upgrades, even though the hotel was very empty. "

"The beach view was nice except the seaweed was overpowering in smell and sight."

"Terrible! We arrived early, asked if we could check in, they said no but said we could put our bags in the corner with no security, it was just casually next to the vending machines. Went to the bathroom to change and there was no toilet paper or paper towels, asked the front desk guy and he gave me toilet paper and said he’d have to check with a maid to get paper towels. When we finally were able to get into the room, there was see through white curtains. No wash cloths, bathtub was filthy!!! Hair on the floor. Straight up nasty. "

"Hotel is clean and sitting on great location close to everything. Needs some renovation some areas are outdated. Staff were very nice and welcoming. Very good hotel overall "

"It was clean. Very outdated, no microwave in the room only in the basement which was a bit creepy, the laundry room is also there. We spent close to $200 on the breakfast buffet and it’s literally like the free breakfasts they give at other hotels. Pool was small and outdated. I love the chill area behind the pool with games. "

"Husband and I were there in January to celebrate his birthday. We loved the place! Comfortable, accommodating and friendly! "
