“Rathmore was everything we had hoped for a tranquil weekend escape. We stayed in the Shearer’s Quarters, separate from the main homestead and very private, with delicious meals delivered by Cally - the lamb ragu was a favourite, highly recommended. Both hosts, Richard and Cally, encouraged us to wander the historic property, which felt a little like stepping back in time to a more peaceful era. We even saw one of the dam’s resident platypus! “We wanted to stay for two nights in the Sheffield region of Tasmania with a countryside setting but still close enough to Cradle Mountain for a day trip. Glencoe was the perfect place and fulfilled all of our requirements and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. Its a traditional cottage / homestead with five bedrooms that has been renovated with a French country setting in mind. The hosts Ginette and Remy are from Paris and have done a great job with the place. They prepare dinner each……
