“Putting work into the property, clean”

“I booked this hotel for a stay near my grandkids. I ended up with a medical emergency and tried to contact the property several times prior to check in with no response through expedia. Because I couldn't be there, I told my daughter, who is over the age needed to check in, to just go and take my grandsons and swim, use the room. When she arrived she was told she wouldn't be able to check in. The attendant said the room would be refunded. After speaking with her, I wanted confirmation from the……

“Very nicely decorated space with a cabin feel. Very clean & kitchen stocked with all we needed for cooking. With it being winter the gas fireplace was warm, comfy, & romantic for our get away.”

“The reception staff when we checked in was not friendly and didn’t welcome us or explain any of the amenities. Our bed was rock hard, very uncomfortable to sleep on. Also the tv did not work, couldn’t get channels on at all. The shower had low water pressure. Then after a rough night of sleep with the hard bed and hearing a guy snoring in the room behind our bed, the breakfast was nothing much. They had cereal, toast, yogurt and cups of fruit was all. I would not ever stay here again!”

“Didn’t use amenities!! The only strange thing was there wasn’t a House Rules book stating how to navigate the house! There wasn’t any firewood for the wood burning fireplace which would have been nice for Christmas Eve, if we needed to get our own, it would’ve been good to know that?! There were not any exit rules as to bedding, garbage, etc!!!!!!! Otherwise no complaints!”

“Very strong sulfur odor from water (all faucets especially hot water). Lights visably dim when microwave turn on. Large outdoor garbage dumpster was overflowing before we arrived. Other than those minor issues we were very happy with our stay.”

“This place is rustic, but has potential. No communication from host as to how to get in. I tried emailing the host via VRBO, calling, and texting. After texting I got the code to get in and the wifi. You have to have your own water to drink and cook with. It is well water without a filter for getting useable water. The well water has a potent smell and taste of iron. There aren't any curtains in the back of the house and the roll up curtains in one of the bedrooms aren't great. The furniture is……

“Everything was amazing! Hot tub and sauna were the highlights. Post communicated excellently and kept the Christmas decorations up for us. Pool table air hockey darts just so many things to do it was so wonderful for me and my adult children to enjoy everything! The free coffee bar was a special treat for us all! We loved it and we will stay here again next year! ”
