Graduation Trip

Overall the stay was great- Pros: clean, well stocked, beautiful surroundings, golf carts very convenient, Baytown Wharf activities accessible and fun, easy communication with property manager and maintenance. Cons: distance from beach, ice- maker, pool pavement needs different surface (blustered feet)!! Overall great stay- would definitely recommend!

Absolutely an amazing place

The house was amazing and accommodating for all seven of us with extra sleeping space. Two golf carts made everything so easy. Multiple pools, warf, exploring the bay even the mall and grocery store are accessible by golf cart. This subdivision has a tunnel directly to the beach and you can use the pool and restrooms right on the ocean within sandestin. We had a blast!!!

Fun for all

Property was nice, well equipped, clean and aptly described. What we liked: The convenience of the golfcarts was paramount for this GC community. The close access to the neighborhood pool was helpful, especially for managing amd entertaining little ones. The Sandestin resort compound is top notch. This property is a short 5mi from the "town center" of the resort whixh was very convenient. Those of us that desired so were able to get out and take 3-5mile mornimg walkes with variety of paths. What we did not love The 4th bedroom/bunkroom is EXTREMELY small and perhaps should not qualify as a BR given no closet. I would not plan for anyone over 15 yo to reside in that space. The beach is not that close. Its about 2 miles from the house, but still conveniently inside the Sandestin resort compound. We did not go to beach as frequently as I wouldve thought based on the location. However, therr is a convenient underpass that allows you to get to beach on golfcart without crossing main road!

Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family would have had a great experience, however, the AC unit started leaking from the second floor ceiling and the ceiling cracked. There was a leak all over the stairs and we had use towels to prevent someone from slipping and falling. We also had to wait for a maintenance person to come and repair the leak. We were on our way to a fun night at the wharf. What was extremely disappointing is that we were denied any type of refund or discount on a future stay for our inconvenience. Customer service is not up to par.

The check-in process was nice and easy.. The kitchen is really small but functional and stocked. Dishes need to be recleaned as the dish washer does not clean well. The tv in guest room by the front door keep going out due to the outlet it was plugged into. But this was a great location and the host help with everything and came out in no time to repair tv issue.

Senior trip

Great Stay!!

We really enjoyed the property!! So convenient,easy and close to everything! The ONLY thing I was a little surprised or disappointed with was the “4th” bedroom. It’s actually a small hall area with bunks , but we made it work! Had a blast! Great memories!

Wonderful family vacation before becoming empty nesters!

Our stay was wonderful! Our nest will soon empty and the last one will enter college this fall. We fully enjoyed the golf carts and the convenience of the beach, pool, Publix, shopping and nightlife within 2 miles! The accommodations were fantastic! Praise goodness there was a Keurig! The property management company answered questions quickly! Thank you!

SandDestin home/resort

Pictures make this home look roomy. Definitely is not. Kitchen is hard to work in. The 3 bunkbed room has no closet or storage for clothes. Outside seating is very small.

Even better in person!

My daughter and I rented this house for our spring break and it exceeded our expectations. The home is absolutely beautiful and had tons of extra amenities. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking which we did serval times during our week stay. The decor was very refreshing and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. The golf carts made spending time in Baytowne Wharf super fun and I loved that I could drive them to shopping and all the fun activities. The house is super close to the beach and we also drove to Seaside for the day which was a great day trip. Can’t wait to come back!

Great location, but overall neutral rating

The property itself is fine. Location is great! We had a few challenges that I’ll detail below.1. Parking is limited & HOA is extremely strict. We had two vehicles (per the description is the max) and also had two golf carts (provided by the unit). Because of strict HOA rules, only 1 vehicle could fit with the two golf carts.2. The unit states it will sleep 11, and technically that is true. But the “bunk room” is TINY. Barely enough room to get down from the bunk with anyone else in the same room with you without bumping one another. Bunk room sleeps 3. Unless you have very young children, this was not enough space for big kids (ages 7). 3. Maintenance. We had trouble charging our golf carts because the outdoor outlets were bad. This was never fixed. 4. Downstairs air conditioner struggled to keep up (would not get below 75/76) but Vacation Haven support was very quick to respond and got us going again. The kitchen is small, but that didn’t bother us. It was very clean and beds were comfortable. But for the money you pay, minor inconveniences become a big deal. Especially when the golf carts would not charge & we were threatened a fee for our parking situation, even though the description clearly states there is enough room for two vehicles. While we may not choose to stay at this particular unit again, a family with 5-8 vs 11 people would be a great fit.

Nothing not to live here. Clean, spacious house. Excellent service from the property manager if you have questions. Golf carts were so fun and location was excellent to beach, pool, and BT Wharf. Maybe just put the WiFi password in the checkin materials - we had to call for it. Thanks for a great stay!
