"A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Takashi was so patient and waited for us even though we arrived several hours late due to an unexpected train delay. "This was the perfect reward for reaching Tsumago after hiking from Magome on the Nakasendo. Nestled deep among tall trees, this property felt like a hidden sanctuary with its open air onsen, welcoming staff, and superb dining. Amin was exceptionally helpful during our dinner and the front desk went above and beyond to help us navigate an alternate path back to Tokyo after we found out all trains out of Nagiso were cancelled due to rain. We were looking for a room with meals, but left feeling recharged in body and soul."
