This is the kind of house that, if you walked through it looking to buy, you'd see the gorgeous windows and high ceilings and huge lawn and overlook everything else.Unfortunately, there was a lot to overlook. We weren't able to get into the house until an hour after the check-in time because the host hadn't sent the door code. The house had obviously been cleaned and reset since the last guests, but everything was sticky and kind of gross. Some things were new-looking and nice (e.g. the furnishings in the living areas), while others (the stair carpeting and banister; the steps leading to the porch; the backyard swingset) were visibly falling apart. The whirlpool jets in the master bath didn't work, and there was no curtain between the shower and the rest of the room or between the shower and the large window it abutted. And there was trash and cigarette butts all over the firepit and yard!
