「Unfortunatly the Pecking Mill Inn was in need of a good clean. Very dated and forgotton. There were beer pumps but not in use. Cans were poured into our glasses and price was not cheaper. Food was on offer but we chose not to beat. Room was unclean. Did not use shower. Geoff was a lovely host and welcomed us.」

「Wonderful location, spacious rooms, lovely food, generous parking facilities.」

「Lovely place to stay and very welcoming with great restaurant」

「The breakfast was superb. It was so nice having a breakfast that was individually cooked and delivered to the table hot. The property is old and the floor in my room was at a slight incline. Not a problem at all but I did describe it as being like the house in the film of The Ladykillers - and that is with total affection as I love that film. Ate in the restaurant on one evening - good food and a good price. Would recommend!」

「It was great to stay in a place that felt trapped in the past. Even with the building being hundreds years old, the room was really clean and I was impressed with the standard. The room was very spacious and comfortable to stay in. Breakfast options were good and freshly made to order.」

「We were only given 1 teabag for our stay. No hot water in the hand basin for shaving.」

「Beautiful setting, full of character. Wonderfully welcoming and helpful staff. Quiet and peaceful. Excellent breakfast! The regular menu is also excellent. A nice respite in a busy world!」
