Dear Elisabeth, I have to correct your statement. since it gives a completely wrong message to the reader. It is absolutely not true that the house had not been cleaned from the previous guests and I am offended to read this comment since proper cleaning for me is of the utmost importance. After your arrival and when you mentioned that the "house had not been cleaned properly" and indicated that you were unhappy about one of the bathrooms, some of glasses not properly cleaned and that you found cobwebs (which considering you are in the countryside, it may happen), I immediately asked my cleaning lady to come to the house. The following day at 7 am she was waiting outside the door to do all the extra cleaning that was necessary and I apologized more than once for the incovenience. During the following days my caretaker was at the house more often than what he normally does to clean the pool and make sure you had all you needed. I honestly think I could not take better care of the little problems you mentioned.

Il Poggiarello is indeed easily accessible from Montalcino with a short drive but in a secluded, very peaceful and in the middle of the countryside so yes there are also some insects which is in itself a sign that nature is still pristine :-)

Dear Eric, thanks for deciding to stay at Il Poggiarello, which is indeed an ideal place if you are searching for peace, silence and wonderful views. Montalcino is 15 km from home and the drive goes through Tuscan hills with vineyards and olive trees, which I personally find stunning even is I have been in Montalcino now for more than 20 years!

Dear Filip, I am sorry to read a medium review of your stay. The villa is made of 2 bedrooms and a 3 beds sofa bed, many times family come with kids and that is way I say that house is up to 6 which the maximum number of guest I accept since the house i 120sqm and I don't think it can accomodate more, bearing in mind that the terrace outside is approx 80 sqm where during the summer people normally spend most of their time. I am sorry for the insects, we are in the middle of the countryside and during hot summers like this one it can happen to have more insects than normal. For the cleaning, you should have told me and I would have sent immediately my cleaning lady like I always do if there is something to check. In respect of the little finishing touches that the villa needed, unfortunately I had a problem with my workers and this is why I kept prices lower than normal for the property. Thank you for your stay and I hope you will save good memories of your birthday at Il Poggiarello!
