Right of the bat, when I walked into my room there was someone in it. Even though it was a custodian, fixing the air conditioner, I should not have been assigned that room. Had to go downstairs to get a second room. During my four day stay, my key card rarely worked. I constantly had to go back downstairs to get it re-registered so I can enter my room. There was only one elevator working during my stay. Construction work was being done on my floor. Always noise on my floor.

Pros: The location is downtown in walking distance to a lot of attractions. Cons: The location is downtown near a lot of attractions. Restaurants and clubs also. Those clubs(music and people outside) can get really loud and disturb you if you're a light sleeper. No hotel garage. All parking is on the street(paid) or in nearby parking garages(paid). During my visit, one of two elevators was out of order. The working one was "glitchy". It would go to a chosen floor and the door wouldn't open. Specific to my room-The door rubbed against the frame so I had to lean on the door or pull really hard to make it close all the way. Half the lamps were out. The couch was in terrible shape. Flat coushing with no support.

Despite the reviews I read, the hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and despite the nightclubs and restaurants close the noise level was reasonable and stopped early. The breakfast was typical but had a variety to choose from.

While this hotel is under renovation, it didn’t feel like a vacuum had been run all weekend. The same debris that was in the hallway at check in remained there until checkout two days later. Saturday breakfast was sparse and tasteless, not what is typically standard for Hampton Inn. Sunday breakfast looked better, but we did not partake.

Oh the staff was a very nice bunch of individuals all but one. But exthe hotel stunk we had to pay for valeymt parking the whole stay. The ice machine didnt work and tno one sanitized or cleaned the elevator floor the same carpet nail was in it all week. And the third party who booked my trip booked it wrong location and ithe hotel wouldndnt change me to correct hotel 1020min away try to reimburse me or help anyway. The water was hot though but nobath tubs..i wanted a bath tub in my hotel room. Oh and we didnt get informned of the free breakfast until our last day.so our stay sucked

The hotel is in a nice part of town convenient to walk and get transportation to shops and restaurants. Very historic but the day we were leaving they were closing for a remodel. They had obviously not fixed or updated anything in anticipation of the remodel. The staff tried very hard and were very kind but there was not much they could do. Worn furniture in room, no light bulbs, tv cable out, mold. Work out room machines out of order, tv out of order, you get the idea!

There were 2 dirty wash clothes with hair on them hanging on the shower rod in the room. The breakfast buffet needs some TLC as far as what is served and quality and the juices were all out. The staff was amazing! The staff i came into contact with gets 5 stars! Everyone was so friendly and had great attitudes amd were very welcoming. Lala i think her name was that worked last night made check in 10 out of 10 would recommend.
