「First of all, this is not a hotel. It is a bed and breakfast type place. It is in a hard to find area of old town Salerno. It was a very unique or different experience staying here for one night but Angelo went out of his way to make sure everything worked out well even securing us a taxi the following morning to the train station. It is well worth staying here but no elevators!!!!」

「I think overall this is a great stay, it’s close enough to the city to be walkable but far enough that it feels removed from the very touristy area. The Residence Due Torro would definitely benefit from being small upgrades to specially the bathroom, linens, and ensuring there’s not ants. Be mindful that is it an older building but Italy itself is old, which personally enjoyed and it adds to the authenticity of the trip!」

「My family and i had a fabulous 9 night stay at the Garden of the Vesuvius.
Fortunato was a fantastic host. So welcoming and incredibly helpful with information about the local area. He went above and beyond. The pastries at breakfast time on our first and last mornings were delicious!
The facilities at the property were brilliant. It was clean and well equipped. The beds were super comfortable and the pool was an absolutely amazing bonus. Perfect when the temperature was in the 30s!

「The room was spotless and beautifully maintained, and having an elevator was a real bonus. Paid parking is conveniently nearby, and the location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants. Breakfast was decent, but adding a bit more variety would make it even better. Overall, a very pleasant stay」
