"Pros: The Lodge was great! Beautiful views and all conveniently located to all of the trails and amenities. Front desk staff were always awesome. Diving pool was intimidating but fun! Cons: Dining options were non existent. They have an on-site restaurant that was still non-existent for the most part. All the negative reviews are correct on the restaurant. Let me start with this: I NEVER LEAVE BAD REVIEWS... This will be the exception. Literally took us 1hr, 40+ minutes to receive food.. only got 2 refills in that time. Not an exaggeration. We didn't bring any other food and didn't want to leave the resort because it was evening time or we would have left. We were told that they didn't have ranch dressing for the salads after we received the salads, didn't have any sweet tea (table next to us had sweet tea brought by a different waiter), and they got cornbread switched with rolls.. the waitress lied about that, too and said they didn't have cornbread so they had to do rolls... But my GF got cornbread.. so they got it switched by accident but they were just lying. Then they said they're out of the buffalo sauce for my tenders... We found all that out AS THEY WERE BRINGING THE FOOD more than an hr and 49 minutes later. I then asked if there was a manager that could help with knocking some stuff off and the waitress had the full to say "Why?" You know why. Almost 2 hr wait on an incomplete meal with ton of stuff wrong and out. Worst experience I've ever had dining."

"Staff was very helpful and the breakfast each morning had a nice variety. The room was clean, but could use a little sprucing up. The bathroom door did not lock and the exhaust fan was not strong enough to keep up when showering. The only curtain that shut all the way was sheer, so we did have a lot of light coming in the room at night. The gym did have free weights, however it looked as though some guests may have walked out with some of the weights. There were a lot of them kissing from the rack. Overall, it was a nice stay."

"Home was great. Extremely clean. Plenty of linens and all necessities. Only small complaints is the only air conditioner was in the living room. Both bedrooms stayed quite a bit warmer than the rest of the house. And there is plenty of room for parking and boat trailer, but the entrances could definitely be widened to accommodate trucks with trailers to get in and out easier. Overall, great stay."

"An amazing cabin. We absolutely loved it! We had the best time! Very clean and cozy. Great place to stay if u enjoy hiking. The kids had so much fun making smores, catching frogs and playing the board games that were there. Our four year old learned how to play “slap jack” and is obsessed! The dogs loved exploring outside. The sunrises and sunsets r amazing!"

"Sara is a sweet and communicative host! She had a welcome basket with some snacks and treats on the counter for our arrival. The property was very homey and beautifully set up, as well as, only a 30 minute drive from Red River Gorge!The AC units can be a bit noisy if you're sensitive to that, but some ear plugs were provided for sleeping.Overall, an amazing place and wonderful host, I highly recommend this if you're wanting to stay in the area!"
