「Look, don't get me wrong, it's not terrible by any means. It's just that for a hotel that's trying to play at this level, it struggles with some of the basics. If you're having a short stay there's no housekeeping by default, (which they don't tell you when you arrive) but there's only a small (non-heated) towel rail, so you're going to have soggy towels on day 2. 「Fantastic staff, very welcoming, the room was very comfortable and clean, we really enjoyed the restaurant and bar area. We will definitely be back」

「We arrived in the hotel early and left our luggages to the hotel staff. When we got back our luggage in the evening, one of the suitcases was apparently damaged. The staff tried to fixed it twice but failed. I was promised to be given at least a letter confirming the damage so that I could send it our insurer, and that the hotel would give us membership points as a compensation. The manager also said he would check the cctv and come back to us. However, nothing happened until we chased for an...

「The accommodation itself was nice and we had a good meal in Charlie’s. We were disappointed to find out that the spa was an additional £65 per person and didn’t think that was overly clear when we booked as otherwise we would’ve picked a different option. Regardless, we paid it after we the facilities were listed and frustrated to find out one of the saunas were out of order. We were celebrating our ‘mini-moon’ and overall we were a bit disappointed with the experience and value for money.」
