Wife, myself and mini Schnauzer spent 3 days at the Cottage.
Very clean, well stocked and though there's rocky gravel for quite a while to get there, it's well maintained.
A few things to note, more for the owners but something those looking for seclusion and quiet need to know.
The cottage sits on beautiful acreage with 2 other cabins next door. You will see and have neighbors out and about around you.
The covered porch was a great addition but the door sill is very high above the deck. We both almost tripped going to and from the porch in and out of the cottage.
The Window unit was annoying on the wall of the porch, it drowns out the peace and quiet with the constant noise of it operating.
The fire pit and plastic chairs are on un level ground, the chairs really need to go, awful. A wood deliverer kindly brought us a couple chairs from next door which are MUCH better and helped a lot.
Lastly, the gravel/dirt "trench" to acess the creek from the cottage is dangerous at best unless you're a young athletic climbing type. There's a couple better areas to ascend to the creek but they're kind of designed in line for the other cabins and not the cottage. We also started down our trench on the last day and almost stepped on top of a copperhead snake that struck at the dog but missed. I've never heard my wife scream SNAKE so many times in a row, lol.. I did manage to get it on film and needless to day, it ended our creek exploring but thankfully it was the last day.
Overall a great place, but we prefer more seclusion and ideally a hot tub for real relaxation, not a fault of the cottage, we knew booking it didnt have one. If you're more the exploring type, this creek is beautiful just be aware of private property boundaries around you. Management is quick to reply to anything you're in need of, Emily was great.
