"For the price paid the accommodation was very good, clean and larger than a Parisian hotel room. Towels were enough including the beach towel. The view is superb from the table in front of the door. The only miss was the coffe for the provided machine but the girl at the reception was helpful and the problem was solved."

"A truly fabulous hotel, such a wonderful experience. Beautifully decorated, authentic and luxurious. The hosts were just lovely, full of helpful advice, recommendations and local history. A fab location close to the old port and old town. A short walk to the town beach. Couldn’t recommend this more highly. Thank you Alex & Andreas"

"Very clean rooms and amenities And a great Host.. quiet location with beach, restaurants and shops all within walking distance.. will definitely be returning here in the near future..."

"This is a self-service hotel where you will receive the location and door code along with the key which associates to your room. The room had the basic necessities such as soap, towels and WiFi which were all I needed. The only issue I had was activating the A/C which did not work even after closing the window. Overall, I enjoyed Chania and TheJoy hotel and would come back again!"

"The most breathtaking hotel in Chania. Our host was superb, provided us with warm and welcoming hospitality, and plenty of restaurant suggestions (all magnificent)!"

"Middle of old chania easy to walk to restaurants bars and shopping"

"Es war sehr angenehm, familiär, wir wurden jeden Tag gefragt, ob alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit ist. Es gab Probleme mit dem Empfang deutscher TV Programme (WM 2026), welche sofort gelöst wurden. Gerne wieder."
