Nice location to take day trips from to the various falls, beaches, and other points of interest. Pleasant lake to watch the loons from the balcony and maybe see a bald eagle, as we did. It was convenient to have a washer and dryer on site. . Nice host, responded quickly to questions.

Really pretty setting just 10 miles from Munising. It was off grid but never inconvenient. We heard owls, saw loons, and watched a beautiful sunset without ever turning on the TV. The house itself is clean with a good mix of rustic and modern. It is Michigan in the summer, so there was an entire cabinet of bug spray to fight off the mosquito army. The only hiccup was on me: there was no cell signal and I hadn't downloaded the message with the key code. Just a few minutes/miles later we were in and logged on with the steady WiFi.

This house is in a great location, far enough out of town to feel secluded and in nature and close enough to quickly access groceries, restaurants and hiking trails. The view of the lake is beautiful.

Great place, beautiful location!

We stayed for 2 nights. It's a great location - close to town, and above all on an incredible lake. Quiet, remote, has everything you need. The host was great, kind, and easy to communicate with.

Clean, relaxing environment, over looking a small lake, was stocked with all the essentials you would need. Close enough to all of the Pictured Rocks attractions, but out of town enough to relax. Well kept property inside and out. Would visit again. Thanks for a memorable experience!

Nice Lakeside Cabin Stay

My friends and I great time staying at this cabin for the weekend while we were visiting for Munising and Pictured Rocks. The cabin was clean, had plenty of amenities, and the host Thomas was easy to communicate back and forth with. Would definitely recommend for anyone planning to vist the area.

Peaceful little lake in the perfect location

This is a wonderful cabin/house on an adorable, quiet lake. The beautiful, large deck overlooking the lake is fantastic! We enjoyed the hammocks and kayaking, too. It feels very remote, yet it’s close to Pictured Rocks and many other attractions.

Cute cabin on a quiet lake!

We loved this cabin, I didn’t realize it was all solar powered until we got there but we didn’t have any issues and there was enough hot water for all 6 of us!

Family vacation July 2023

We had a very pleasant experience. We were comfortable and the host was accomodating. Because we had small children, there were some concerns about the deck and the stairs, but we were able to work that out. We will definitely go back if we decide to stay near Munising again.

We loved our time at Tommy's off-grid retreat. The amenities were perfect for our needs. The balcony overlooking Lake Ackerman and the sunsets went above and beyond our expectations (not to mention the abundant stars at night!!). With a paddleboat, two firepits and a hammock - we always had a reason to be outside enjoying nature. It was very close to all the Pictured Rocks adventures, but the quiet and serene feeling at this home made it a perfect place to recharge for the next day. I would highly recommend for anyone needing to rest and stop to appreciate the natural beauty of the UP!
