The only complaint we have is the twin beds desperately need new mattresses. The other beds were comfortable. We will be returning next year.

Reviewer Comments: Condo layout is better than most you have more living space looking out at the ocean than typical. Location is good and views are nice. There is family of foxes living in the bushes next door that were fun to watch. Unit could use just a bit of updating and the shower heads are really low, but no big deal. We would go again, maybe rent a 2nd floor unit just for a bit more ocean view.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We found the condo to be well furnished and comfortable. The screened porch was nice. Kitchen was adequate. Although somewhat dated, all appliances and bathrooms were clean and operated nicely. Pool was clean although sign was posted saying it was closed early in the week (Oct. 1). Elevator was not working most of the week but we were on first floor so not too much of an issue. Master bed was VERY comfortable. We slept well all week.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall this is a nice place to stay. However,I will say that I spent an hour scrubbing the bathtubs ,in both bathrooms, to rid them of mildew and soap scum. There was also hair in the master bath. The pool was not clean and there was a funny odor coming from the beach side exit of the condo. I have stayed at this same complex (different unit) but this year will probably be my last.

Reviewer Comments: Our family has enjoyed our vacation in Compass Rose Unit 12 for the past 7 years but this year we noticed that the Unit needs a good overall cleaning plus the shower head leaked and the sink in the master bedroom was running really slow. The dryer vent was clogged solid and my husband changed the HVAC Filter. My husband called the maintenance number twice for all issues but no one ever came the entire week.

The backyard pool area is well landscaped to feel like a private backyard. The screened-in porch overlooking the ocean adds another spacious living space to enjoy watching sunrises and the peacefulness of ocean views. The back deck is great for marsh views. The extra access to the fishing pier across the street at Inlet Point is a great amenity - fishing and sunset views! Our unit was clean, attractive and comfortable.

Too many Palmetto bugs in Condo

Reviewer Comments: I have rented from Garden City Realty for many years, and I had Never experienced Bug problem like this; And no one wanted to step up and take care of the problem. I first called the main Office because I didn’t know who to contact, they said that would be the maintenance. This is Monday morning, the lady said she would notify the maintenance; but I also called the maintenance. I never heard from anyone. We had killed two palmetto bugs, Tuesday we killed another palmetto bug in the main bathroom, so again I called the maintenance department, I was told they can’t help getting palmetto bugs, I realize that but seeing that many is Not normal. Again I get the run around, the maintenance person said it’s not there job to treat the Unit” it’s the HOA, to take care of that problem, again No one contacted me. Now it’s Wednesday, morning my Husband told me he killed a palmetto bug in our bed Tuesday night, but he didn’t tell me earlier because he knew I wouldn’t have went to bed. By this time I’m really upset, I have Never had this kind of problem. I called the Main Office and told them that It’s went to far Now that the bugs are in my bed, and I need something done Now. That lady was very helpful “finally” she said she would get hold of the HOA, and she would call me to let me know when they would be out to treat Our Condo. She did call me around 11:30am, and they came that afternoon. I feel they took way too long to take care of the bug problem. I rented the same Unit for next year, to spend a Family vacation with my Grandsons; I sure hope we Don’t have a problem again. I know it’s possible to get a (one) bug in time to time But to kill four or five palmetto bugs are Not allowed. The Unit it self was fine, just Not the extra guests.

The condo is far enough down the road so that it was not too crowded on the beach but close enough to stores to make it easy and convenient. The pool was clean and well maintained.
