Cute beach house nestled right on the sand

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house had all the things our family needed, plus more. The rooms were all a decent size. The bathrooms were small, but we made it work. The open family room with dining area made the house seem so much bigger. Lots of deck space! The pool was wonderful. We love being only steps away from the beach!

The only thing I would have liked better was the walkway to the beach,it would have been nice if the walkway went farther out. Over all this was a beautiful house and I recommend it to anyone.

Great Beachfront home!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The inside of the home was very well equipped with everything needed; especially the kitchen. Have 2 refrigerators - one upstairs and one down - was such a BONUS. The washer and dryer looked new and worked perfectly. We had more than enough space as we had 6 people staying here. The front and back deck made it easy to go downstairs based off of where you were in the home. Renting a golf cart is a must with this location being located b/t the pier, marina, and grocery store. The pool was well maintained and was serviced at least 3 times during our stay. The pool was ideal with the wall separating the shallow from the deep (we had a 2 year old staying with us). It would of been very beneficial if the decking from the house was extended to the beach a few more feet as the sand was extremely hot. No grill was a downer, but no sure it was listed as part of the property. The vents and under dressers maintained by the cleaning service could of been better as there was dust in both. We would definitely stay here again!

This was the 6th or 7th beach house we've stayed at over the years and this was probably the cleanest one yet. The pool was wonderful for our kids (Ages 2 through 8) and the walk to the beach was easy for everyone! I would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for somewhere a little bit more remote than the packed beaches in Myrtle but still want beach front in a clean, well kept, house.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed staying at Lazy O. Location is great! Our grandkids loved the beach. Pool was very nice. We didn’t use it much due to the weather and the water was chilly. Unusually cool August week. It’s an older beach home but suited our needs. Too many extension cords and Knick knacks are the only negatives. The toddlers wanted to touch everything!

This house had everything we could have wanted or needed as we could not eat out because of the COVID. The private pool was a big plus and the beach provided more than adequate space for social distancing.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at LazyO before and have found it to be a wonderful vacation rental. Our granddaughters love the beach and moreso the pool. I was dismayed that a "linens included" was put into place as I feel I should have the option. We are still in a pandemic!!!!! I voiced this concern well before the vacation and was told that I did not have to use them but they were included in the rental...(NOT FREE) as the price from last year went up by almost $1000.00. WE DID NOT USE THE LINENS BUT WERE OBLIGATED TO PAY FOR THEM. As much as we enjoyed the house and pool we will not rent again if we are not given an option for the linen package. FYI the linens are thin white and bleached many times and the towels are thin and of poor quality. JUST SAYING!!!!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While Garden City Realty maintenance was very responsive and timely this beach house feels unsafe with the ground level bedroom where the electricity didn’t work right all week and went out completely on Thursday. To not extend the walkway past the dunes forcing renters to walk through sand burr infested area to get to beach means this one should be in a lower price category. Electricians were there when we arrived and didn’t fix the problem. It feels unsafe to stay in the lower bedroom unit. The wiring and electrical feels dangerous. Also, the primitive shower next to that unit where you walk outside to get to will randomly go to very cold then scalding hot water on its own so no child should use it. A lousy experience staying there this past week and we’ve been renting from Garden City Realty, Dunes, and before that Pendergrass Realty for over 30 years so we know what the standards are supposed to be. This is a very misleading priced place. Based on the survey questions , while at beach house this past week property management was good but to receive email threatening to cancel reservation a month or so ago within 48 hours if I didn’t provide list of our group when I had provided it in January and they knew they had lost lists in a system change then to have Guest Services manager argue with me that they have to treat people that way to get responses has left a very sour taste about how theyvoperate so can only give two stars.

The only criticism we have is that the southern two bedrooms were noticeably warmer than the northern two bedrooms at times making it a little uncomfortable for sleeping. Otherwise a great experience and we hope to stay here next year once our plans are solidified.

Even though the pool man came by several times he never vacuumed the dirt from the pool and the amount of dirt around the pool needed to be blown off but never was. Otherwise it was a great stay.

The house was extremely clean. However the beachside porch, outside decks, walkways were not. I took it upon myself to clean those areas. There was actually a plastic container of cigarette butts on the porch, obviously from the prior week renters. We arrived early to enjoy the beach since check-in isn't until 4:00. I was sent an email to not call or come to the office until I received a text advising the unit was ready. If a text was not received by 5:00 I was advised that I could go the the office. After a lengthy wait and no text I decided to ride up to the office. I arrived about 4:45. I went in and took a seat. A gent at the desk asked if he could help. I told him I'd just sit and wait on a text or 5:00, whichever came first. He told me that wasn't necessary and to come to the counter and check in. I did so of course. So the question is, should I have gone to the office earlier? I try to obey the rules. I wonder how many renters just go to the office early. He also told me an inspector would be coming to the unit. That never happened. That's OK though as the house itself was clean. This 4:00 check-in will always be an issue. You loose the check-in Saturday and the Check-out Saturday. Love Garden City Realty for everything they do except for this 4:00 check-in policy.

Plenty of seating for us all.The pool was incredible -large and very well maintainedSo grateful for the many poolside and porch furnishings. Beds comfortable. Linens clean and sufficient for our needs.Wonderful view out the back porch. Some of the issues we had:Extra room downstairs very musty smellingSome difficulty in sliding the doors of tubsAnother HDMI cable needed for living room DVD player to work. We had to switch it back and forth.Tray of DVD player in the MBR won't open so can't use itToaster needs to be replaced before it catches on fire. Bread debris in bottom cannot be cleaned out and starts to burn when toasting. Poor design of toaster only allows a smidge of crumbs to fall into the trays that can be emptied. The rest has piled up and hardened. I tried to clean it out but without success.Very clean generally but should move furniture to clean behind from time to time. Also need to clean under the beds. Dropped items behind/under and when retrieved were covered in dust. Disappointed to learn mattress pads are not laundered between stays. Dust mites, sweat and dead skin cells in the mattress pads are a big deal. Especially with monkey pox floating around. Including this service would be a boon for Garden Realty. Laundry room needs a good cleaning.Washing machine broke on Thursday. Maintenance unable to repair. Repairman came out Thursday evening but stated a part was needed and would have to communicate with the realty company about it. No further updates received on Friday. Very inconvenient.In general it was a really nice vacation and we all had a fun time and are so glad we came!

The pool was the perfect addition and one of the reasons we booked the Lazy O! Loved the kiddie part for our littles! Furniture and carpet could definitely use updating. Would be nice to have the boardwalk extend out further over the dunes like other properties nearby. Home was mostly clean but could use a good deep clean! Loved the addition of having a high chair and not having to take our own. It was a perfect size for our party of 6. Thank you for opening up your home to our family!
