Great place for a week at the beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house has been very nicely updated since we were here over 15 years ago. It's well taken care of, and the dock and pool are in excellent shape. We'd definitely stay here again.

Location is great and beach is prefect for our grandkids and family. We will miss this next year but needed a week sooner and already booked. If we ever get the chance we will definitely rent again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great week at Pop's Place. Excellent location and layout. Parking is limited especially if you bring a boat trailer. The French drain in front of the house needs to be cleaned. We had a thunderstorm one afternoon and we had about 2 inches of water inside the house at the front door.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very roomy house for families. The house had everything we needed. The boys had a great time with the foosball table. There is a little walk to the beach. We really enjoyed the pool with a great gazebo for getting out of the sun and the dock for fishing and kayaking. The lot is beautiful, but there are little thorny balls in the grass, so the yard was not well suited for kids without shoes! Overall, it was a very nice rental and would probably rent again.

Family vacation with Pop at Pop's Place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first year at Pop's Place as the previous retal we used was destroyed during hurricane. We found this one available for same week and booked. This is our annual family vacation that we do with all of kids, spouses and grandkids. There was 14 of us. House was great and new remodel was excellent.All had a great time. Pool and gazebo were perfect for outside fun. Beach was never crowded and only a 5 minute walk. Ice machine was perfect and well used. Kitchen had everything. Only thing missing was an ironing board so we purchase one. Already reserved for next year.

It is located in a quiet neighborhood, and the beach was easy to access and fantastic for the family because it was not crowded like the main beaches of the Grand Strand. The private pool gave everyone hours of enjoyment and was great for those early morning and late night relaxing swims. Being located on the channel it gave us the opportunity to get in a little fishing, and provided a beautiful view.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything about the house and location was great. The one big problem was the bugs. Either mosquitos, bting flies or no see-ums were so bad some of us couldnt sleep at night due to scratching our bites. The bugs were as bad as we have ever seen. We ended up staying in most nights as the bugs were horrible. Id recommend an outside treatment or spraying the area. It was awful. Also, on a lesser note, the cockroaches were plentiful, mostly outside, a few inside.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second year that we have rented this property. The property is a great vacation spot. The biggest disappointment was the linen service. Some of the linens provided did not match the beds. Some linens labeled as king were actually queen. The same errors that were made last year. This service is not optional but it should be. I would definitely opt to provide our own linens. The keyless check in and check out process is a big improvement.

Fantastic family beach house!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house and accommodations were very good and exactly as expected. The only exception was that there was less parking space than I had expected especially if you have a boat trailer. The check-in process was very disappointing. I have been vacationing in Murrell's Inlet / Garden City area for 53 years and this was the 2nd worse check-in that I have had. The house was not available at the 4:00 check-in time. In fact the house cleaners didn't arrive until 4:25 and the house was not available until 6:00pm. There was also an issue with the linens that were provided. One of the king sized beds had queen size linens. Another set of linens was brought out and exchanged. This set of linens was labeled as king size but the linens were actually queen size. A third set was delivered which were correct.

I would recommend Pops Place to a friend or anyone. We love the Gulfstream restaraunt and Bubbas. Also Uncle MickeysHas good food. My only complaint is the bedroom with the queen bed I don’t think they changed the sheets. I got a set of linens and changed it. This bedroom is off to itself and I just think they missed it. Also no water pressure in the large bathroom on the ground floor.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Inside Pop's place the kitchen lacked sealed containers for leftovers,toaster did not work,had to replace a couple light bulbs. Pool was clean but the lounges were dry rotted,grill was a grease pit and dirty, junk was stored on the back side of home. Maintence dept notified took pic's. VERY DISSAPOINTED
