"Our family had the pleasure of staying one week at Founder's Manor. We have been visiting OIB off and on since 2007, and this house has always intrigued us. The inside was exactly like the photos shown, and the furnishings are authentic and beautiful. We had more than enough room for our family. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. Having two full kitchens in the house was an added bonus. The most amazing part for us was the amount of privacy you have with such an enormous lot. Although not technically oceanfront, you have unobstructed views of the ocean, and also Jink's Creek. It was so nice not having loud neighbors right on top of you. So much of OIB has been developed in the last few years so we enjoyed this extra space. Marnie is extremely easy to communicate with and offered additional information about the Tuesday market and Friday night concert without us even asking. One of our favorite parts was attending church on Sunday just after Tropical Storm Chantal had passed by. This was our first visit to the chapel built in honor of Mrs. Williamson and that made it even more special. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your piece of family and history with our family."
"This place is just as described in the listing. The kitchen area was nice, but a few more items such as a toaster and blender would be nice. Perfect location for walking to the beach, the pier, mini golf, ice cream, the park, etc. The small pool was an added bonus. The owner was great to communicate with and very accommodating for my son’s birthday. I gave it two stars for cleanliness because there were a few spots on the floor, one of them sticky with hair stuck to it, and there was also lots of hair stuck to the sides and edge of the bathtub. The bed had two mattress covers on it. The blue mattress cover was dirty with some spots and debris (maybe crumbs?). We removed it and there was a second (and clean) mattress pad underneath. "

"The house is nice, but definitely not as nice as the pictures make it look. It was not very clean at check in, and the carpet upstairs is gross. The bathrooms aren’t great either. But the location is perfect, the pool area is fantastic and the golf carts were a lot of fun. "

"A delightful kick off to summer vacation at this lovely and comfortable home! We all had our own spaces, and bathrooms, which was very nice. Everything we needed to prepare meals and enjoy the pool - a big hit with the kids! The elevator was a real plus so we didn’t have to go up and down so many stairs. Everything we wanted to do on this trip was within walking distance - the beach, a wonderful park for the kids - with splash park and green space. Events to attend there, too. The mini-golf, arcade, restaurants, ice cream and donut shops just a short walk. A quiet family type community. It was great to be able to rent the items we could not bring with us! Thank you for a fantastic time, and for many family memories! "
