Beach Cove Resort; Excellent Choice

I found Beach Cove to be beautiful. Very convenient parking. Ample pools, beach, and hot tubs. Excellent breakfast buffet and Snack Bar. My rental was very clean, ample kitchen appliances, and a beautiful view of the ocean. TV channel choices was good. Decor was nice in tones of blue and white beach themed.

Beautiful Condo!

My daughters and I stayed here for 2 nights and I wish we could've stayed longer. Beautifully updated unit with a beautiful view from the 10th floor. We want to come back and stay again...loved it!

Great location and clean pools

Pros: we loved the location, parking was readily available in the garage, it was nice to have a room code rather than key too. The unit had everything that we needed. Cons: the wifi was weak, we wish there was private wifi provided. The unit was a little banged up but overall very nice and homey. We would stay here again and do recommend beach cove!

Great Condo!

We loved our week at this beautiful, upgraded property! The room was great and all the upgrades made it feel very modern! The location is perfect for everyone. We've stayed at Beach Cove before, but this was by far our best trip yet! Thank you for allowing others to rent out your beautiful condo! Julie was wonderful to work with and made up feel so incredibly welcome!

Ideal girls vacation getaway

Unit was clean, beds were very comfortable & location was great. Only misstep was the kitchen was scarcely equipped. Several knives were in such disrepair they were dangerous to use.

Beautiful condo on a beautiful location!

This was my 1st visit to N Myrtle Beach & I fell in love with the area & this Beach Cove condo! It will certainly be on my calendar every year! The unit is beautiful & the view is amazing! The condo is so very well appointed, beautifully thought out & immaculate! My best friend & I stayed for a week & were very comfortable. The owner, Julie was very pleasant & immediately responsive to any questions I had! I can't wait to return again!

Last Minute and Very classy Resort

We were able to book and check in to the rental within the hour after booking another rental months in advance from another resort/company, which did not work out. Julie was great and got us where we needed to go. Quickly responded and We loved the resort. It was classy, clean, good clientele, always a rep at the front desk, and always security around. I do recommend the bar at the pool, the bartender is very nice, attentive, and aware. The Lazy river did not seem to move :), but other than that the room was clean, updated, and provided all we needed for our stay!

Weekend Getaway

Instructions on how to use the stove is needed. We couldn’ t get it to work even after watching Youtube videos about the exact stove top. The water for the kitchen sink would not get warm/ hot for washing dishes. The bathtub was very slippery. A top b mat would have been safer. We had to use a bath towel on the bottom of the tub to stand on.

Love North Myrtle and especially being so close to Barefoot Landing. The pools at Beach Cove were great. The property over all is dated and shows the years of love and adventures, however, the staff is nice, they had good security, excellent beach access, and good parking. We would stay again. We did not love the messaging from Big Fish Rentals with so much “YOU WILL BE CHARGED” especially when the unit had chipped paint, missing backsplash, and wasn’t clean upon arrival. BFR was quick to respond to messages (although never with apologies for the state we found the unit). We will likely visit Beach Cove again.

Not What We Were Expecting

Let’s start off with the positive - this room does have a great view! I think when I was booking, I focused too much on that. I’m upset with myself because I didn’t do my due diligence. When we first arrived we were very excited to be there until we started noticing issues. To start with there was about a 1/2 roll of toilet paper and that was it. No paper towels at all. I called and was told it was in the contract that those weren’t supplied. My bad for not reading it closely. The WiFi sucked! We had to use unsecured WiFi which provided barely any coverage. When I called Big Fish Rentals about this, Julie said she never had any complaints about the WiFi yet if you read through the reviews, clearly that wasn’t true. We were told that the HOA (yeah, right!) probably needed to reset. When we went to the front desk about this they told us they couldn’t help us because we didn’t book directly through them. Had I known this was also a hotel, I would have done just that. Because we booked through VRBO, we were treated like second class citizens. We couldn’t use the gym because we didn’t book directly. Had we booked directly, we would have paid less for the room without having to pay $85 for a cleaning fee or had to wait up to 30 days for the return of our $150 deposit. In accordance with the check-out threats, we left the room immaculate (I have pictures)...what exactly costs $85 dollars? Changing sheets and towels?! Ridiculous! There are 4 plastic chairs on the balcony. Two of them were filthy, I wouldn’t hang my wet bathing suit over, let alone sit in. There was no hot water in the kitchen (saw someone mentioned this 2 years ago in their review). It’s nice that some beach accessories were available though I couldn’t hang dresses in the closet because these (sandy) items seem to be just thrown into the closet. The whole building is just old. Elevators broke down at least twice in 4 days. There is only 1 working faucet (out of 5 I saw) to clean sand off your feet. The whole building could use a major facelift! If you want to stay at this location, check the hotel (beachcove.com) first!

No Notice of Not Working Elevator

The elevator was out our whole trip. Hauled all bags, groceries, beach items, etc up to 7th floor. We should have been notified of this as well as many services not up to par at the resort. Chair in living room is dirty. Found standing water under kitchen table. Multiple repairs needed (slat in blinds, table damaged, trim/molding banged up. Little communication regarding resolving the issues. Good view but had many problems on this trip for me, wife, young daughter. Condo needs cleaned better and fixed up.

Roach Motel

We were so excited for our vacation. I used to be an avid traveler, but work has been so busy that I haven't taken a trip in years. We booked this property and upon arrival, we were very happy. There is a beautiful view of the ocean and the location is great. After we got settled, we went to get dinner. We put our food on the counter, turned around to get plates, and then found our food literally COVERED IN ROACHES!!! They were everywhere. I called the property management company (this is owned by Big Fish Rentals, not an individual named Julie) and they couldn't have cared less. They refused to move us to another property, as did VRBO. Exterminators came the next day, but that really didn't do anything. We bought cans of Raid and spent the majority of our time in the condo killing roaches. Then our air conditioning stopped working. The room was extremely hot and again, they couldn't have cared less. They said we would have to pay to have someone come out because they knew their air was working. Obviously it was not. We fought for about 3 hours, at which point Alex told me I was unstable. I saw on several of their BBB reviews that as soon as you call them out for being a horrible rental company, they start insulting you. Once they have your money, they don't care about anything else. I promise you - you can find much, much better places and rent from much, much nicer people. This wasn't worth it after all of the grief we had to deal with.

Was really looking forward to our stay after reading the positive reviews. We unfortunately were instead greeted by roaches 😣 The rental company was notified and they did send out pest control to spray the following day, but simply is not an immediate fix. They weren’t able to use anything stronger while tenants were present. I spent every night of our stay killing roaches, it was gross and uncomfortable to have them around. After spending as much money as we did, including all the cleaning fees we definitely expected better. The furniture could also use a cleaning/ shampoo- they were pretty dirty. Location wise, it was great. Right on the beach, pools on the premises and close to restaurants and shopping centers. So if you don’t mind the extra guests/pests it may be perfect for you. I personally would not stay again.
