“Beautifully done little house with porch and backyard. We’re out at Lake Somerville for a Motorcycle Club birthday party around that time every year and were notified last minute that the only hotel in town was shutting down for one reason or another. I quickly got on Expedia and found this little gem. Instructions sent over email. Thanks so much, looking forward to staying again, vacancy permitting.”

“We got this place for a gameday weekend. And it was the perfect retreat from the crazy busyness once the game was over. Super quiet and peaceful out in the country. That said, it takes a little longer to get back to, especially with the traffic after games. I personally think the trade-off is worth it to have a comfortable retreat. Property owner is absolutely the nicest and most responsive host. Any issues you (probably won't) have should be handled quickly.”

“We stayed May 8-11, 2024 at the Whitlock Cabin as we were in town for our son's A&M graduation. The communication from the owners was excellent ahead of time. They were friendly, helpful, and joined us in celebrating the graduation with their communication including emails and a personal note when we arrived at the cabin. The cabin was spotless and just as described. There was Texas A&M decor and the beds, furniture, bathroom, outdoor areas were all well appointed and comfortable. The cabin is……

The cabins are immaculate, the animals are everywhere, and Darrell is an incredible host. I'm very thankful that i found this place.”

“Quaint little cabins surrounding a pool and pavilion. Owner meet us upon arrival and showed us our cabin. Three of us were very comfortable. Close to antique shopping in Roundtop. Thanks for an enjoyable stay. ”

“Rented one of the cabins but was very disappointed to discover the water heater was broken and did not produce hot water for the showers. Instead we had to use the community showed and they were dirty and the clientele created a filthy unclean shower space..... Overpriced and not the comfortable experience we were looking for with a cabin.”

“The prior low reviews aren't very relevant, but here's my 2 cents. The house is actually very superb for the price. The parking spot sucks for a Diesel Excursion, but I made it work. The beds are semi-comfortable and sleep 6. However, the seating is only for 2-3 adults. There was also one cockroach that we found, but we're near the water, that's to be expected. I liked that I didn't have to spend extra money on pet fees and that it's not too far from I-45.”
