Hotel Riu Vallarta - All Inclusive

"The Riu is a beautiful property and very well maintained. The staff are exceptional! I really feel that they need to work on their food. It is unfortunately the only thing I have to complain about. I recently was in Jamaica at a Riu and the food their was the same I was hoping that it would be different in Mexico but sadly it was the same. I felt the only decent restaurant was the Italian one in both locations. I hope that they can step it up to become 5 star in my opinion."

"Good overall experience, but specialty dining reservations need major improvement Overall, we had a good experience. Our room in the newest building was spacious, with a great view of the pool and partial ocean. However, the A/C made a loud noise during its first 20 seconds, which woke up my family at night. The buffet food was decent but average, though the weekend morning menudo and birria were surprisingly good for an all-inclusive in Nuevo Vallarta. Specialty restaurants were acceptable but not much better than the buffet. The biggest issues were the reservation system and the concierge staff. To book specialty dining, you must scan a QR code and create an account, but it only allows booking 2 days out. The platform never worked for our group of three couples (aged 35-40, all tech-savvy). We had to visit the concierge daily, where we faced bad attitudes and reluctance. It felt like they made it difficult on purpose to discourage us from using these restaurants. Fortunately, this does not reflect the rest of the staff. Waiters, bartenders, and housekeeping were incredibly friendly. Special thanks to Miguel Martínez at the buffet for his outstanding service. It is a shame that the concierge desk, which should excel in hospitality, lacked it the most."

"The staff was great. They were kind and considerate. The rooms were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The food was okay. They had multiple options and 2 buffet style restaurants which made eating convenient. The drinks were great and most of the bars could make you anything you wanted. It was quiet and clean with plenty of pool options to choose from. Nothing ever seemed too crowded or busy. If you’re looking for a party resort this is not the one. It’s more for relaxing and enjoying nature. It is located on hills so there is some walking but they do have go carts driving at all times so you do have the option to wait for those or call one up to pick you up from your room."

"Gorgeous smaller, boutique hotel. Beautiful cool rooftop pool, lovely beach walks, plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas, the breakfasts at downstairs Lia were amazing, fresh, so delicious, overall food was very good! Poolside service great, staff lovely, assistance immediately with any request. We will be back in Whale season! The favorite place so far in Nayarit!"

"We had an amazing stay at Villa del Palmar Flamingos! Everything exceeded our expectations. We chose the all-inclusive option, and every meal was delicious with plenty of variety. We traveled with our 4- and 6-year-old, and one of our favorite features was the heated pool—it made swimming comfortable and enjoyable for the kids every day. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job cleaning our room daily, and we loved the thoughtful treats they left for us. The entire resort was clean, welcoming, and family-friendly. We had a wonderful vacation and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this resort to families looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!"
