Perfectly positioned and only 300 metres to Nelson Bay CBD, D'Albora Marina, bars, restaurants, shops and cafes or 800 metres on the bridal pathway to the child friendly swimming area of Dutchies Beach, perfect swimming for children as the waters are calm and perfect for the family gathering as there are great free BBQ facilities, picnic tables and stand up paddle board hire.

The open plan, air conditioned stylish living area has a TV, DVD player. This area flows out onto the balcony where you have magnificent views with very comfortable alfresco dining and lounge and the bonus of your own electric BBQ.  

This unit offers a large fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, family size fridge and full cooking facilities. Both bedrooms are a generous size with the main bedroom having a ceiling fan and TV for DVD use only and for your convenience the owners supply a porta cot which is found in bedroom two.  

The bathroom is huge and has a shower, toilet and vanity and the unit provides an external laundry with a washing machine and dryer.  Park the car in the secure parking (height 1.78m) and walk to all the attractions.  

The complex Laman Lodge is in a fantastic location and unit 6 having amazing views and air conditioning ticks every box for your next family holiday.

(f) intentionally, recklessly or negligently damage the personal property of neighbours of the premises or other occupants of a strata or community scheme.

This property is approved for holiday accommodation only, no extra bedding mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed.

We spent a few days here in December 2021. It is an older building (as you would expect for the location in Nelson Bay), although the unit is in reasonable condition. There are, as expected, a few signs of wear and tear and a mixture of older and new items, but everything/the appliances we used work as expected. Unit is on the third/top floor, so expect some stairs. There is air conditioning in the living area - not in the bedrooms, although the main bedroom has a ceiling fan. The view, which includes the marina, is along the side of the building, but still not bad. There is an allocated, shared garage for parking, located at the rear of the building and accessed from Church Street (at the T intersection with Thurlow Ave) - space to manoeuvre in and out is tight. Location is good, with about a five minute walk to the marina, shops and restaurants. This unit hires without linen - that is clearly noted in the information supplied pre-booking, although the need to bring or hire those items provides a little nuisance value. The unit would sleep 5-6 people, although the hot water tank is quite small and located in the bathroom vanity. Don’t forget to turn it on when you arrive - switch is in the bathroom next to the light switch. Unit has Wi-Fi. Download speed just under 19Mbps and upload just over 2Mbps. There was a regular thumping and similar noise (mainly evening, and noticeable although not excessively loud) … possibly coming from the roof space(??).

Top floor apartment with no lift 49 stairs Not suitable for people our age and back issues

Great location and Nelsons bay busy but enjoyable. Apartment is top floor with no lift. 49 stairs. This should be highlighted in profile. Appliances Old and cheap. Bathroom and kitchen need renovation and updating. Furnishings nice and view of marina great.
