Coal from Cwm Bargoed Approaching the Junction at Nelson and Llancaiach this train has come to a stand. The line in the foreground once went to Deep Navigation Mine and Trelewis. This was a busy location with the movement of coal and shale. Nowadays only the line to Cwm Bargoed is left with infrequent trains.

Country Lane, Llanfabon Lined by a drystone dyke, this is one of five lanes converging on the hilltop where there are a church and inn.
Mynydd Eglwysilan, South Side of Summit. Tors outcrop on the south of this rolling grassy summit by the Rhymney Valley. In the distance are coal bings and England, across the Severn Estuary.
