Annual Schlitterbahn trip

Weekend Stay

We had tons of fun! The parking is right by the elevator as well as the condo once you reach the third floor. Very nice and clean, the dinning area was a little small but manageable. Master is super spacious. Overall it is a great rental!

Winter Retreat

The condo “Five O’Clock Somewhere” is perfect no matter time of the year you go.

We loved this condo. Short distance to everywhere. The street the condo is on runs straight into Schlitterbahn’s parking lot, Literally a 2 minute walk. The condo is very spacious and so comfortable with great property and water excess to the river. I highly recommend staying there and I will stay there again when going back to New Braunfels!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was nice. The kitchen could use more pans for cooking . The ones that are there are old and food sticks to all of it. There could be more utensils, both cooking and eating. The coffee pot was not working. Outside of these issues it was pretty good. The sofa bed was not all that great, but then most aren’t.

Super close to everything!

Super close to schlitterbahn, very nice grounds/pools. Clean and spacious unit and convenient after hours check-in process which we really appreciated! Would definitely stay here again!!! Only complaints are minor: 1) pillows are all a little flat and could be replaced for beds, 2) fire alarm went off at 4am our first night (we called line and reported alarm) and neighboring unit said this happened the night prior as well, and 3) fridge and freezer were a little fish smelling/stinky and could use some fresh baking soda/cleaning. Thank you for a nice stay!!

Great little place

This was great to stay because of the Comal closure. We put in at Rockin R in Gruene and floated down to the condos. Took about 6 hours, but it was a good float. The condo was super clean and was wonderful. My only suggestion to make it better is to have the "social distance" check in at the actual property instead of going to the management office to get the paperwork and wristbands. Other than that everything was great.

The properties were clean and well maintained although one units AC was not as effective as others, we rented four properties. I would recommend this property. We enjoyed being close to Schlitterbahn Water Park. Restaurants were awesome in the area: Blacks BBQ, Krause Café, Adobe Café, Buttermilk Café especially good.

Also there was no WiFi in our unit and we had to rely on our cell hot spots to get any internet. We understand that might be added now. Otherwise our two month stay went very well.

Nice but not worth the money

We only spent three days in this property. The place was huge and very clean. The Guadalupe river was not flowing very well so we had to float the Comal and San Marcos rivers instead. Therefore we could not utilize the in/out river access of the property. This is no fault of the property. Since we were on the river everyday, we did not use the pools or hot tub either. It was a very expensive place to rest your head for a few hours.

Need instructions

From the online pictures, I had the impression we could get in the river easily from the property. That was not the case. My older husband was with us even though he was not feeling well. Therefore, he wanted to lay on the couch and watch TV. Because we are not familiar with the kind of service, we need to written detail instructions But we could not find any in the condo. The property management team was very understanding and trying to help us.

Great Place - Safety Concerns

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was clean and comfortable with a great view. However, it is also advertised as having security guards 24-7. We heard screaming so loud it woke us up from our sleep and we called the cops. The cops mentioned they had been called multiple times by other guests before arriving. I gave the information I could, but I never saw a security guard and the screams I heard made me very concerned for the lady's safety. Safety trumps comfort and not sure if I will stay at this location again.

Perfect getaway

My husband and I took a long weekend and loved every bit. The location couldn’t be any better! Perfectly close to everything. We loved having the entrance to the river. Everyone we met was extremely nice. Definitely will book again!

This place is great!

My husband and I plus our two friends wanted to get away and go float the river. This place was perfect! We will definitely be booking again! Possibly before summer is over. :) The third floor kind of stunk to go up and down (elevator wasn’t working) but that isn’t the owners fault. Overall- book this place!!

However, we were on the 3 floor and the elevator was out of commission at least 2 twice each week. The heated pool was very nice, but you had to walk 300 yards to get to it, and no bathroom by the pool.

Weekend getaway

We checked in late so they were very accomadating with leaving our keys and info in a drop box at the office. 5 O' clock somewhere was in a great location on the 3rd floor and the balcony over looked beautiful scenery of the pool and trees, picnic tables and deer wandering around. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
