Do not stay this hotel

The hotel facilities were seriously damaged. My room lock doesn't work. After the receptionist on the 12th morning opened the door of the room, she told me not to close the door again. I asked her how i can go out, and she had a bad attitude and was rude, and refused to open the door for me again. I had no choice but to call the police for help because I couldn't get into my room.The room smells so badly of paint, it's like a gas chamber,and a loud mechanical noise in the room.

As a party of 4 we booked room with 2 beds. We were given a room with a bunk bed with a double bed and a twin. The front desk was able to get us in a better room. Once we got into a room, it was filthy. The lounge bathroom was disgusting. Our room did not get cleaned after our first night, the trash is not taken out, and we didn’t get a change of towels.. The front staff was inattentive and seemed put out for any questions, requests, or anything that we needed.

Great location. Loved the night staff. The property needed a few minor fixing. Our closet was not available to open. It was missing a door handle, and there was very little water pressure in our sink(We saw that the city had a huge water leak within the city). Over-all everything was good.

Shops and restaurants nearby. Walking distance to French Quarter, but away from the chaos. Super friendly staff that were very helpful. Breakfast was decent, but runs out quickly. We enjoyed our stay!

The rooms were dirty (I always pull mattresses away from the wall to check for bedbugs- there was food crumbs, hair and matches on the platform bed). The rooms are weirdly fluorescently lit and the bathroom doors are see through and don’t close properly. Staff was cold at best.

I was attending the Patton Conference at the National WW II Museum and the Higgins Hilton was too expensive, so the HIE was a reasonably priced option and only 1.5 blocks from the conference/Museum. My only real complaint is tha the carpeting was filthy. It looked okay, but after walking around the room in my bare feet, from the bathroom to the bed, my feet were quite dirty. That was gross! Shampoo those rugs regularly, bros!! Othewise, good breakfast, comfy bed, etc.

Hotel is very run down and was not clean when we attended. There were issues with mold in the bathroom. The staff member Michelle was wonderful and tried to find a room with a shower that did not have a bunch of visible mold (allergy) but all rooms shown had the same issue. Time for the hotel to get a renovation. The complementary breakfast had very few options to choose from and they were missing items such as fresh fruit (apples / bananas) that most breakfasts offer. For our troubles the hotel did agree to cancel the remaining portion of our reservation but it was a hassle to find another hotel and move our luggage. One nice thing I can say is the hotel is in a pretty central location if you wanted to go watch an NBA game, WW2 Museum, Garden District and French Quarter if you dont mind waking 20ish minutes. Hotel not recommended unless budget is yoir only consideration.

The hotel it self was clean and the staff were good. Housekeeping was terrible the made the bed and that was it. We had to go get towels and coffee everyday. They also never vacuum the rug or mopped the floors they were sticky, also never wiped the shower down.

Will never stay here again thanks to Amanda at front desk. If there’s a black woman with a nasty attitude checking you in and her name is Amanda save yourself the grief and go to another hotel. Obviously she didn’t aim higher in life and makes it a point to punish everyone else that she has to work front desk at this raggedy hotel. The parking is $40 a night with “at your own risk” parking in an uncovered lot near the hotel. Spend the extra 40 bucks on the room instead and stay closer to the French quarter. The woman had a nasty attitude upon check in and then called us to tell us that our late check in was done with a third party and not with them and we would have to leave at 12 instead of 3pm. Surely anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see this is an easy fix. After a very rude demeanor and no interest in actually resolving the issue I asked to speak to a manager. In which she told me that I can wait for a manager so they can tell me the same thing. Excuse me?? So I wait on the line. Then she says I need to come downstairs to speak to the manager about late check out. The purpose of late check out was to sleep in. Why would I go downstairs to be told whether or not I can sleep longer when you can answer me on the phone? I told her okay and hung up. Would you know we got a call 3 minutes later asking if we would like to pay for the late check out? Probably from the manager. Almost like it was a very easy thing to accommodate w/o the attitude.
