“Needs a deep cleaning maybe once a month. Dropped something under the couch n had to pull it out. Very dirty. Spider webs thick. Fireplace was full of ash. No wood.”

It had the feeling of being deep in the woods but it’s actually within a few minutes of Boothbay center and I’m talking 5 to 6 minutes of drive time. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever utensils we needed to prepare meals at home if we chose. “I already submitted that the location needs to be clearly specified as in Boothbay, not Boothbay Harbor, as there are two streets with the same name, and this one did not appear on Google maps.”

“What an amazing place and location! We’ve been spending summer time in the region (Harpswell, Orrs, Baileys, Cundys, West Bath) for almost 10 years. This was our first time in the spring but that house was exactly as advertised. The views were amazing. Got great pictures of the Pink Full Moon reflecting on the inlet water. The fire place was a great bonus to take the chill off after long days watching colllege baseball at Colby, Bates and Bowdoin and walking the beach at Reid State Park and……

“Nice little cabin that’s close to town. The only thing is that it’s within 500 ft of multiple other cabins so there’s no privacy. “Private beach” means beach you have to wonder around to find. There’s no water view from this cabin, or anywhere to sit outside and even have a little fire. The walk up to cabin is steep, so just be aware! They’re no railing, it’s just rocks and tree roots, so sort of unstable. The cabin itself is nice. It’s your typical Maine cabin. There’s a tv with spectrum cable……

“If you want QUIET, this is the perfect place. All we could hear was the sounds of the ocean. Loved waking up to the sound of boats and sea life. At high tide the deck is actually OVER the water. You seriously can’t get closer to the ocean than this. AND- they don’t cheap out on the toilet paper! 😜”

“We enjoyed a quiet retreat at the cottage which was cozy, comfortable and clean. The hosts were very attentive and made sure we had everything for a great stay. We spent a couple of days exploring the area: the beach, fort and lighthouse. The Contented Sole was amazing for dinner!”

“I cannot say enough about this property. We thoroughly enjoyed the mountainy/forest setting in the front of the cottage and of course the beautiful ocean in the back. I felt like we were in the middle of a setting of a Nicholas Sparks Book! The cottage had everything we needed, and was pristine clean! And the local people are lovely. We will be returning!”

“It is a cute cabin but needs some serious maintenance. The entry slope would be improved by stepping stones along the very appropriate gravel path. It is a steep path and the stones can be slippery and awkward. The inside front door would benefit from a "wipe-your-feet" mat. The microwave, dishwasher and stove are nicely upgraded although we only used the microwave as we were just 2 and mostly ate out. There are 2 good heaters, one up and one down but they do not have fans so they do not heat……

“My family of 3 daughters, spouses, and four grandchildren had a wonderful stay at Beaver Run Cabin. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen so we could make many of our own meals. We also liked the quiet, removed from the hustle and bustled.”

“Great views. House pretty clean & supplies were fine except only 3 coffee cups for 6 adults. VACasa said they would get more cups. They failed, never received. Some lights didn't work & lots of dead bugs in light fixtures.”

“We had a great stay. Check in and communication was easy. Due to storm damage, our original booked cottage was not available and Deb offered us a different (much larger) home without added cost. We greatly appreciated it so we didn't have to cancel our vacation. The home was very clean and had everything we needed and then some. The area is beautiful and the beach was very clean. You cannot beat the views from the home. We look forward to staying here again!”
