    Welcome to our charming 3-bedroom cottage in Mayfield East — a comfortable and affordable Newcastle base for families, professionals and small groups. Enjoy high ceilings, period features and cosy dining space with fireplace. Two queen rooms, and a children’s room that has a single bed plus cot/toddler bed. Relax in the modern bathroom with tub and skylight, unwind in a spacious living area with a huge built in bookcase or enjoy the yard with playground, sandpit, deck and BBQ. Walk to cafes, parks, pool, TAFE and transport.



    The Space:

    This welcoming 3-bedroom character cottage offers a relaxed and practical stay in Mayfield East — one of Newcastle’s most convenient inner suburbs. With high ceilings, original features and thoughtful modern updates, the home balances charm with comfort.



    The house suits families, visiting relatives, work trips and small groups wanting space and affordability while staying close to everything Newcastle offers.

    The Neighborhood:

    The home is located in Mayfield East, a convenient inner-Newcastle suburb close to parks, cycleways and everyday amenities. You can walk to local cafes, sports fields, the public swimming pool and TAFE, and it’s only a short drive to the harbour precinct, beaches and Newcastle CBD. The property sits on the edge of a light industrial area and near the train line, which is typical of this older inner-city pocket and allows easy access around Newcastle. The house has high ceilings, insulation, and window furnishings to help minimise outside noise, and guests find the home comfortable for normal day-to-day living.



    Getting Around:

    Newcastle Buses - Just 600m walk you will reach Maitland Road and a bus stop. This would be a convenient way to visit other suburbs outside of Newcastle City for example Kotara Westfield or Charlestown Square Shopping Centres.



    Newcastle Trains - Hamilton Train Station is located just 2.5km from our conveniently located house. The train station provides an easy way to travel Sydney, the Hunter Valley or other Newcastle suburbs. Just 1 stops away is the Wickam interchange where you can take the light rail into the Newcastle CBD and beaches.



    Newcastle Light Rail - Newcastle light rail runs from Newcastle Interchange in Wickham to Newcastle Beach. With six convenient stops, Newcastle light rail is a great way to explore Newcastle’s city centre. It operates from 5am to 1am, seven days a week.



    Newcastle Ferry - The Ferry leaves from Queens Wharf (you can get the light rail here) and then get on a Ferry to Stockton to visit a wonderful park and beach.



    Other Things to Note:

    You will be emailed a house manual 4 days before check-in and there is also a hard copy in the home.



    Interaction with Guests:

    We offer self check-in so you can arrive at a time that suits you and settle in easily. Most guests won’t need to meet us in person, but we provide a detailed house manual with instructions, tips and local recommendations to help you get comfortable quickly.

    We are always available via message or phone throughout your stay and are happy to assist with any questions or issues if needed — we simply like to give guests their space to enjoy the home.
