Not at all private and not what I call an apartment. It is a self contained section of the bottom floor of their home that opens up directly to their foyer, through a door that locks on their side. Only thing separating you and their staircase is a peice of glass. Could hear them in their kitchen or walking around. Whole place smells like mould. Obviously some water, flooding or draining issues. So strong we couldn't stay. Overall felt very uncomfortable and left immediately and booked another room in a hotel. Save yourself the time.

Very comfortable, and well equipped. Be aware that you need to walk up a sloped driveway and walk on a narrow loose-stone pathway to reach the apartment.

This is a lovely, quiet, secluded space with a beautiful, private courtyard. The kitchen is basic, as described, but that was fine for me, as I was mostly eating out. The hosts were kind and communicative when I reached out to ask questions.

This was the perfect little apartment for our weekend in Newcastle - quiet & private, a short walk to shops, cafes, restaurants & the beach, & only a 20 minute stroll to the CBD. The apartment was amazing value, beautifully decorated, modern & spacious with everything we could need. Definitely recommend staying here & would love to do it again!

While the property's location presented a minor challenge during initial navigation, it ultimately provided a pleasant retreat, conveniently situated near the beach. My three-night stay featured clean and well-maintained accommodations. However, the bed being a double bed proved somewhat restrictive for a guest of my height of 6'4" and the television's size and lack of modern streaming capabilities warrant consideration for an upgrade. The absence of cooking facilities was not a personal concern, though it may be a factor for guests seeking self-catering options. Fortunately, the local area boasts numerous excellent cafes, with Lola's Cafe and Autumn Rooms being particularly noteworthy for their quality meals and coffee, effectively mitigating the need for in-room cooking. Overall, my experience in Newcastle was positive and enjoyable.
