“Excellent location right next to the harbour, just about 15 minute drive to popular spots like Neck Point Park and Pipers Lagoon Park. The check-in process was smooth, and the front desk staff were helpful even though I arrived a little earlier than the official check-in time. Parking was in reserved spots within a public parkade, but the hotel had its own dedicated elevator, and there were plenty of parking spaces set aside for hotel guests. “One option for dining we used, Top Notch Burger, good food, good drink. Hotel is a little dated however the ocean view rooms are a must as you have a great view of the Nanaimo Hrbr. Parking can be a challenge, just remember to ask about the overflow parking lot when checking in. We needed to add a day to our itinerary so we called the hotel prior to our start date and surprisingly were given a cheaper nightly rate for the extra night. A nice surprise. “Room was not clean, dust on counter tops, heavy dust beside fridge, beds and cabinets. Bathtub has a horrible drain problem when showering. Food aria was very clean and well looked after. Did not like wooden cutlery, and did not have the option of real cutlery. Other than that, everything else was good.”
