“Great cozy lodge! The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was provided. The entire felt historic, rooms were cozy, and the views you get from the rooms and the breakfast dining room was amazing. Parking was slightly uneasy as there wasn’t markings outside of the lodge, during peak or busy summer times, if all the rooms are occupied, be prepared that the parking space outside he property will all be occupied too. Driving into the lodge was a long 80km/h road……

“Easy access to downtown. Good neighborhood.”

“Limited privacy. The bathroom advertised as private is actually on the hallway outside the room. The kitchen shown in the pictures is not accessible to guests who, instead use a crammed space that is an adapted bathroom and doubles as laundry room. Guests have no access to any common areas, being practically restricted to the inside of the room. There is a constant odor of spicy food. There were issues with the property being able to process American Express cards. Bedroom didn't have closets or……

“The oven was not working, and a note had been left indicating that it was out of order. This shows that the property manager was already aware of the issue, but instead of repairing it, they simply left a notice. The kitchen was also poorly equipped, with several basic cooking utensils missing.”

“Owner/manager was very friendly. Room was huge with a view over the water. Facility was in a good location close to Bamfield. Would stay here again.”
