The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Secluded and very quiet with easy access entering and exiting the gate. Beautiful calming creek trickling right outside the kitchen door. Cool crisp mornings begging for a hot cup of coffee or hot coco. Highly recommend! Will definitely stay again.

The cabin was very clean, and beautiful! Our host kept great communication with us and was quick to respond if we had any questions. This cabin is perfect for a couple or small family wanting a quiet place to stay, that isn't too far from things to do. The property is beautiful with the creek running beside the cabin. We definitely plan on returning.

The house was spotless, open and airy, the kitchen was fully equipped and Then Some. The property was beautiful and quiet, but yet very close to a lot of the things we wanted to go and see. It will definitely be on my list to visit again next year, and the owners were super at communication and checked on us and replied back quickly. The price was very reasonable for the area and we enjoyed being able to take our 14 pound Shih Tzu with us that hiked all the trails with us. We made great memories and had a lovely time. Would definitely give this an A rating with 10 stars or more and will definitely be back.

Mountain Getaway

The owner of Deacon Escape was very cordial and accommodating. The cabin was clean, neat, and functional. The property was so nice with a stream, fire pit and outdoor setting. We loved it!

Highly recommended if you’re looking for a quiet cabin in the woods with a creek 20 feet from the back door. 1 mile from Linville winery. Comfortable beds and furniture for two or a family of 4. The owner communicates well and affable.

Great Boys Getaway

16th birthday trip for my son, brother in law, nephew and me. It was a great location, so peaceful and the boys enjoyed exploring the property. Night time fires were awesome and drinking coffee on the wraparound porch in the morning was amazing. Hiking locations easily accessible. Close to food store and Air-Soft only 40 minutes away. It was a great weekend!

Work Trip

I was visiting the area for work, and I had a great time staying at this cabin. It is very cozy and I felt at home. The cabin was very clean, well maintained, and quiet. Yes, the internet is slow due to it being satellite, but it was a very relaxing stay!

Great Little Cabin in the Mountains

The cabin was great. It’s situated right on a stream with beautiful picturesque views of the creek all around. If you’re having trouble read the check-in packet again! All the details are in there! Will definitely look at coming back and staying here again!

Absolutely perfect retreat

We had such a lovely time at this cabin. The house was exceptionally clean, the bed was super comfortable and the setting was perfect. We spent our days fly fishing in area rivers, hiking in Linville Gorge, visiting the winery, serendipitously watching Wake Forest baseball beat Appalachian in Boone and simply enjoying the property. The creek is not only beautiful to look at but provides a perfect soundtrack to this mountain cabin. The rhododendron stand across the creek will be stunning when it is blooming and I envy whomever will be in the cabin when that happens. The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than five minutes away. Our host couldn’t have been more accommodating. We are already working on when we will return. So happy to have found this piece of paradise in the mountains. Go Deacs!

Deacon Escape over exceeded our expectations! It was truly unique and perfect for my family of 3. We especially enjoyed the property with the two streams, the firepit, the outdoor wrap around porch, the wildlife, the beautiful views and as of the interior, we loved it! We enjoyed having all the comforts of home. We had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the Linville area which is very close by along with the snow tubing! Plenty of places to visit and explore with the Winery right down the road! The host was very easy to communicate with! You will not be disappointed if you book this place - we will definitely be back!

Deacon Escape

A great place to unplug and get away. This cabin is located on a gated road that limits access and it sits next to a couple of streams on the property that just make you want to sit on the porch and fall asleep to the sound of the water. The owners take pride in the property and where easy to communicate with. We plan to visit again later in the spring.

Best property we've stayed at

This was beautiful property and a wonderful cabin. Host was so good to us. There is just nothing to complain about and so many good things to say. The gated porch overlooking the creek was our favorite. Great neighborhood. We've rented alot and this was the cleanest by far. A couple good hikes right in Linville. And many more things to do within 20-30 min. We would definitely choose this place again. Thank you for allowing us to stay here.
