The house worked very well for us and we enjoyed it very much. However, we found the entry code system to be extremely difficult to use. We spent over an hour trying to get in when we first arrived. After that, whenever we left the house we had to try multiple times before being able to get back inside. This was not a pleasant experience, especially after dark. We do not want to rent another house that uses a similar locking system and will ask about that specifically before making future reservations.

Wonderful Oregon Coast Location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Yaquina Lighthouse View Beach Home! The home was very clean and the beds were very comfortable! The master bedroom included a king-size bed and master bath with shower and jacuzzi tub. The view from the main deck and also the 2nd story deck adjacent to the master bedroom was incredible, both with a clear view of the lighthouse. And there was a private pathway alongside the house that led down to the road to the beach, literally only 3 houses from the beach! The kitchen was well stocked, and they even had board games and a few camp chairs available for use. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Location

This is my second stay at this property. It has a stunning view and quick access to the beach. The property has a few maintenance issues that should be taken care of such as a broken leg on the couch and a drain that will not stay open in one of the showers. Overall it’s a beautiful place to stay.

Beautiful home. Cozy tucked away in the trees

The house is cozy. Tucked away in the trees but a beautiful view from the porch of the lighthouse. The blinds had dust on them and the back window was dirty. The mattress are very hard spring mattress. Main bedroom has a thin pad cover. There should be pads on all mattresses. Other than that it's very nice. We loved it. Only 2 tvs. Which is fine.

Beautiful Home

This home was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Short walk to an area of the beach. If you have any knee issues the stairs inside the home and on the walk to the beach may be a problem for you. There is a downstairs bedroom which was convenient. My husband and I had the master suite upstairs which was very nice but I will say was a little uncomfortable because there is no door between the bedroom and bathroom area, so if bathroom privacy is a must for you take this into consideration. I went next door to my mom’s room and used hers when needed and left the room when my husband was using it. This was not very convenient. The beds were very comfortable. A suggestion would be to have a tv in bedrooms other than the master. My mom was really wishing she had a tv in her room. One other suggestion would be to have a shorter code for entry to the property because the key pad is very sensitive and had to start over several times every time we came in and out. Regardless of these things we would definitely stay here again. I’m hoping we can come back another time when it doesn’t rain everyday so we can enjoy the deck areas. The area was very quiet and private. We did not see or hear any of our neighbors.I really enjoyed our stay here.

Yaquina light house

Very pleasant- bbq is rough. Home is very comfortable. Had to fix drain in the bath sink downstairs. Totally plugged - would not drain. Drains now. Microwave turntable doesn’t work. Switch upstairs master bathroom is not good.

hear the waves beauty

stunning beauty where you can hear the ocean from the decks / living room (patio door open) pros gas fireplace stunning views from upstairs and downstairs deck walk to beach trees/birds listen to the waves cons unusable pillows I had to go to walmart to buy an acceptably firm pillow crumbs in toaster unwashed linens in washer machine on my arrival no instructions for how to turn on shower in master upstairs bedroom (i figured it out >> it has to be pulled on ) no turn into property road from 101 Northbound (a Minor inconvenience as one can turnaround a little bit past the entry) no garbage bags in unit no desk for anyone who might be working (telecommuting) as i was (i used dining room table) upstairs bedroom/bed had odd smell {i never did figure out where it came from but kept door to patio open a bit} I have stayed in many VRBOs over the years and this was very nice but not exceptional in terms of kitchen appointment or preparatons (or shower instruction for upstairs) all in all, a stunning location check in instructions were superb i'd stay again just to hear the ocean and to experience the silence

NICE SPACE FOR LARGE GROUP

The space is just big enough for everyone to have privacy, but not so big that you get lost. Beach access is very easy and quick. Bedroom pillows are "flat stanleys" so bring your own if you like thicker pillows! A blow dryer is not on the amenity list, but there is one, so don't pack one if you're trying to save space. All in all, a nice stay for our group.

Wonderful trip.

The property was clean upon arrival. It is a very warm, comfortable home. It was well supplied with kitchenware. It is just a short jaunt into Newport for any necessities, and an easy walk down to the beach. The beautiful view of the lighthouse was lovely. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Surroundings

The Yaquina Lighthouse is a lovely property. Good location to the beach, short drive to town. The path to the ocean is the easiest compared to others with dunes. House is fully equipped with towels, needs smaller drinking glasses in the kitchen, decent utensils in the kitchen, they could use more seating in the TV area, use of beach chairs would be helpful (nothing available) and a better mattress for 1 of the queen size beds. Views are beautiful, not located on the beach but you can see the lighthouse and partial ocean from the decks. House was very clean except the Gas Grill which needed cleaning badly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property as long as it meets your requirements.

Family vacation 2021

We were impressed with the location and views. Rooms were very comfortable. Check in process was a breeze! We were disappointed that the living room furniture was not as pictured leaving us to bring chairs from other rooms in order to hang out in the living room. There also was no blue ray player as listed on the website. We needed more sets of towels as we did not have a complete set for each person (6 of us). General cleanliness was pretty good but rooms all had cobwebs that need to be removed. The home was spacious and the decks provided an additional area for the family to enjoy. We would definitely rent this property again.

Absolutely fabulous!!

Property was fantastic! Open spacious floor plan allowed us to really relax and unwind with friends and family. Stunning secluded location, amazing beach, this property was everything I expected it to be. Thank you so much!!!

Beautiful view

Beautiful view and very relaxing. A few issues with not being able to find linens or dishes - discovered they were still in the dryer and the dishwasher. A few issues with getting the place unlocked. It's three bedrooms but there was very little furniture in the living room to sit on.
